So, at work today, I found my credit card receipt from when I bought the 4th child at GAIN (I'd been having issues with getting the money to come OUT of my account :P So I just trusted Tenchou would be able to do it XD;;;) It was a big, old-fashioned kinda receipt, and I'd taken it out while cleaning out my wallet.

Looking it over, it brought back memories of that awesome weekend, and I wondered if maybe I should keep it for that purpose. I glanced at the things written on it, as I'd never really looked at it before, and noted the things Tenchou had filled out (Store Name: GAIN, Owner: Yamashita, etc)

One box was for the product that was purchased, and it was filled in with some hastily scribbled kana and the English letters BAG. I smiled, yup--bag of love~

...then I looked closer at the scribbled kana.

OH TENCHOU. YOU CALLED IT THE DEKO BAG. YES YES YES I FUCKING LOVE THIS MAN XDDD How can any one person be so awesome? I DUNNO. Is he a Tuti fanboy? Does he giggle like a schoolgirl whenever Nagayan asks him to take a walk while he and Tuti "plan the next design"? XD

In other news! I wrote more 5th cast fic here because that comm needs the jaws of life LIKE HOW. All that gets updated now is that weird RP Shirota/Aiba + TakiEiji/Kime of all the Eijis to ship with Kime, THAT ONE? SERIOUSLY? How about the one he still hangs out with? No?) and that is a sad, sad fact.

You don't have to seriously ship any of the guys to write fun, flirty cute fic about them, it's like expanding on all the normal faggotry that goes on backstage. So go and celebrate Vermont and Iowa starting an AWESOME rock rolling in America and WRITE GAY PORN!!

Real Person Slash, that taboo of taboos, possibly trumped in squickiness by RPS incest and certain kinks involving lavender soaps and chihuahuas.

RPS is best used for the side of good, and justice, to explore and expound on possible relationships between real people, which sometimes turn out to be true, and many times don't--gay, straight, whathaveyou. It is best enjoyed between friends who ship your pairings, debated about between supporters of equally possible pairings, and wondered about by the populace at large who will one day, too, embrace it, we keep telling ourselves.

RPS is not best used for:

★Pushing your "canon" TeniPuri/Bleach/Sailor Moon/Any Other Anime Made Into a Musical pairing onto poor unsuspecting Japanese boys.
★Ever
★And I'm serious about that first one, people
★Really, it's ticking me off.

You really embarrass the lot of us who actually ship pairings that are somewhat supported SOMEWHERE by more than a touch, a glance, a smile backstage. Sometimes, we get lucky. Sometimes (usually with doubles actors) you spend a lot of time around someone, indulge in a lot of fanservice with them, and now and then you fall in love with them. It happens. It's called nature. Sometimes. Tsuchiya Yuuichi and Nagayama Takashi. Saitou Takumi and Aoyagi Ruito. Kimeru and Abe Yoshitsugu. Moriyama Eiji and Sano Daiki But I digress.

The point is, JUST BECAUSE YOU PLAY CHARACTERS 'PAIRED' IN CANON DOES NOT MAKE THEIR ACTORS AUTOMATICALLY THE MOST MARRIED COUPLE EVER. Souta is not** dating Naoya. Kaji does not** pound Yanagi's (or Endou's) ass into the mattress every night. And yes I'll even say it--there is no evidence that Takiguchi Yukihiro is romantically involved in any way with Seto Kouji..............................that we know of. Yet. WE'RE WORKING ON IT THOUGH. And umm, all those asterisks are my disclaimer. There's always the chance to be proven wrong ♥

But please, people, ship what you will, but ship responsibly. Bad RPS is like being an alcoholic--it doesn't just hurt you and make you look stupid, it hurts those around you who have to bear your crack pairings that you think are ZOMG CANON when we're all pots calling kettles black.

I ship what I ship, and you ship what you ship. But it annoys the shit out of me when people push actors together JUST BECAUSE OF THE CHARACTERS THEY PLAY. I "ship" (aka "think is cute and is more possible than any other pairing with the two") Date and Takuya.

Ohtori and Jiroh? Hell no. Because ZOMG NEWSFLASH they are not their characters. They got close through some means OTHER THAN DOUBLES :OOOOOO THAT'S INSANE! And not through any flirting backstage or any other crap like that, but, dude, people, did you SEE them during RJM2? The touching and hugging and flirting and general faggotry around each other?

That? Grounds for a pairing. It doesn't mean they're going out, it means people no longer can look at you weird for shipping it.

So please people, stop with the anime-canon RPS pairings without any support beyond THE ANIME CANON. I'll take back these thoughts regarding certain pairings as soon as someone writes a manifesto on them ♥ And for god's sake, stop thinking everyone automatically ships your RPS pairing of choice JUST BECAUSE it's from anime canon. I'm not gonna ship shit unless there's some backup for it, capice?
