Time for DL6th picspam! Not much this time, as...I dunno, I just didn't like the backstage this much myself XD;;; But anyways! Less talking, more spamming! )

As promised, I have not set the music for this post to Ding Dong the Witch is Dead, but imagine, if you will, a swelling orchestra in the background playing something akin to Handel's hallelujah chorus.

*ahem*

So, Dream Live 6th has ended. A week or so ago, actually. I'm a little late 8D;; 4th cast sang its medley of swan songs, 5th cast was passed the racket (literally o_O), it was a beautiful thing.

Thank god it's over. Why I'm glad they're finally gone. )

But still...Why I'll miss them. )

(sorry that part's so much shorter than my complaining above 8D;;;;)

So in conclusion, goodbye 4th cast, and congrats on finally getting to stand on your own, 5th cast. You're gonna need a whole hell of a lot of luck filling those shoes, but I will be right there at the front cheering you on. Don't feel like you need to emulate any of your sempai--I hope NO ONE ever does that, because how must it feel to be compared to all your predecessors and fall flat? Just be the best Seigaku you can be, that's all I ask for.

--MAJOR FAIL その1: 4th cast was in it at alltoo much >( Seriously, 5th cast got THREE SONGS. All in the last 10 minutes of the show. I think Hirata was in it more doing double-Kaidoh with Yanagishita than 5th cast was for this show.
--MAJOR FAIL その2: Whoever the hell they hired to do the mics and camera work XD;;; seriously, mics were turned off at the wrong points, leaving the audience thinking said cast members had forgotten their cues when, in fact, they were singing fine, the sound director had just fallen asleep or something >_>

--MAJOR AWESOME: TUTI. CAME. TO. DL6TH. I DON'T EVEN FUCKING KNOW WHY (got the info ala text message XD;) JUST. WHAT. he totally came because Tsujimoto invited him, YOU KNOW HE DID. I love that these two are so cute and close XD Though I can hear him whining backstage now: "I TURNED DOWN DRINKING WITH OLD LADIES TO SEE YOU IN THIS SHOW, AND YOU WERE IN IT ALL OF 10 MINUTES. WHAT."
--MAJOR AWESOME: Oh. My. God. Shitenhouji looking like they stepped out of Queer as Folk and were off to go gay clubbing. Shitting you not. Totally made up for Pirate!Higa and Pimp!D2 last Myu XD;;;
--MAJOR AWESOME: Right before Dai-chan broke into Yudan Sezu ni Ikou they had a video montage of all the Tezukas to date ♥

Songs that were sung that made me happy:
--Kimi to Nakama de Yokatta as a doubles song!
--One More Step BY 5TH CAST. HALLELUJAH.
--FGKS AND On My Way YAAAAAY
--This is the Prince of Tennis and Challenge kdufhslidufhslifs YAY FOR OLD SONGS. Seriously they were reaching way back 8D

Please update, Tuti >_> I MUST SEE YOU.

Also: expect some celebratory/thinky entry when 4th cast finally graduates >_> sheesh. Believe me. It's not that I don't like 4th cast. I actually do like them, and think they're better singers at least than 5th cast. BUT THEIR GP DRAGS THEM DOWN.

Also WTF WTF They're going to start selling TeniMyu DVDs on the main site...and to celebrate the upcoming RikkaiMyu, they're selling the former 2 DVDs...FOR 3000 YEN A PIECE. WHAT THE FLAMING FAAAAARK?! That's, like, 6000yen off?!

Woke up on my own at 7:25 this morning, 2 minutes before my alarm was set to go off, only to realize my alarm was not even on and HOLY CRAP I would've been so in trouble if it hadn't >_> Because I had to be at Gain at 9 AM to Be a Fan :D

Luckily, though, today was going to be a pretty good day, all told, and I woke up on time, showered, and was on my way to Shibuya. Wound up being the first one there, arriving literally seconds before a big group of girls rounded the corner behind me :DDDD Tenchou passed out numbers to everyone, and we all dispersed--after I mentioned to Tenchou that my dad was coming in and...would it be okay to bring him by and introduce him to Tenchou. Verdict? A big hellyeeessss XD

Had to kill 3 hours before I could come back to pick up the shirts, so I went back to my apartment and bummed around. At noon, Tenchou was deprived of two shirts, and I had another 2 hours to kill!

[livejournal.com profile] hughes_maes and I met at Kokuritsukyougijou station at 2 PM to head to Seinenkan and line up for toujitsuken. Unfortunately, while there were only 10 or so girls there when we arrived, by the time they passed out numbers, there were about 150 >_> Suffice to say we did NOT get any of the 30 tickets they had. WHAT THE FUCK. 30 TICKETS? This is TENIMYU. And they wonder why people buy and sell these tickets online.

But, not to be daunted, we decided we'd try again in the next few days (well, Paula would XD Unfortunately I don't get out of work until 5 PM--when toujitsuken go on sale--so I can't try) and went to sing away our sorrows in Asakusa where there was a Big Echo and a Coco's nearby :D

After 2 hours of singing, we'd worked up quite a hunger, and dug into some tasty curry. We were behind some kind of a barrier in a booth, and a guy came in to get a to-go order. Swear on the graves of my ancestors he sounded like Miki Shinichirou. Freaky XD

We decided to walk back to Kuramae, since it was a straight shot from there to my apartment, and stopped in at Family Mart on the way. I was the only one of our group who hadn't picked up my DL6th tickets yet (we actually got REALLY lucky with the lottery!!) and, curious to see where the seats were, I went in and printed out my tickets.

They weren't arena seats, so I wasn't sure just how good they were. However, upon closer examination, I thought the seat numbers looked familiar. Curious, we called up [livejournal.com profile] imma_holiday, who'd picked her own up earlier that day.

...

I got my 3 seats in 34, 35, and 36. Hers? Exact same block, exact same floor, exact same row: 37, 38, 39.

WE SOMEHOW MANAGED, COMPLETELY COINCIDENTALLY, TO GET 6 TICKETS IN A ROW. This means through some otherworldly act our entire group will be sitting together!! OMG YAY. And even better, there is a 50/50 chance that these are actually REALLY good seats (as in, in the stands by the stage), but we won't know until we actually get INSIDE the theater XD

Speaking of which, I did not realize Tokyo Taiikukan was right by Nihon Seinenkan (where TeniMyu is right now)!! I snapped some shots of it on the way back the the station XD 待ってろよ~東京体育館!!

Gaijin luck ROCKS HARD.

ETA: I have had all of 2 lines from the Shitenhouji school song stuck in my head ALL DAY but I don't have the track to relieve myself of this melody. Does anyone care to share it with me and put me out of my misery? ;_;

I'M GOING TO DL6TH AND SO IS MY DADDY. (and so are 3 other friends, but MY DADDY IS MORE IMPORTANT)

Middle-aged white man getting it on to Good Combination and shaking his hips to Dark Horse with the rest of the thousands of Japanese fangirls? HELL YES.

We were fricking lucky this time -- of course, we may have seats in the nosebleed section, but STILL! -- and managed to get tickets for 5 people! (we'll be sitting apart, 3 and 2, of course, but no one will be alone ^___^) My ticket-getting mojo, I think she has returned! (or Paula's just THAT lucky :P) Now please to not be going anywhere when it comes time to get *pnish* tickets this summer, mmk? Mmk.

This site is a GODSEND. No more looking around for seating charts _o_

MY DADDY'S COMING TO VISIT MEEEEEE~!!!

XD GAH I'm so excited. We'd been discussing the fact that he definitely needed to try and come over in the Spring, what with Golden Week and all, but never made any hard plans, and when I was talking to him on the phone just now, we decided to idly look into it, and found an American Airlines flight from Shreveport to Narita for less than $800 O_______O Only one layover both ways, in Dallas, and just slidufhsliudhfs YAY.

The only downside is I realized after he booked the trip that he gets here May 1 -- May 2/3 is the Tokyo leg of DL6th XD;;;; And then my Dad asked if he could come :P I said we hadn't gotten tickets, but...XD;;; I dunno, trying to get 4 may be hard. Maybe we should try for two each (if I'm even ENTERTAINING the strange idea of having my 40ish-year-old father come see boys dancing around in tight little tennis shorts :P though he did sit through part of DL1st once and said he thought it looked cool o_O and he's a tennis player himself...)

...Okay yeah, it'd be awesome to see DL6th with my dad XD And I'd feel horrible leaving the poor guy to putt around by himself when we'll only have a week together. This bears more thinking! (Any input??)

sliufghsliughilsdufgs OH GOD I HAVE TO INTRODUCE HIM TO TENCHOU XDDDDDD
