Attention subbers!

So, I've been thinking, and thinking is generally a not-good-idea for me, so give me some slack:

I might try my hand at subbing the NaiPani episodes.

Why those? It's a lot less intimidating to tackle one of those at 30 min or so than a full play at 2+ hours, plus it better showcases the guys as themselves rather than as actors playing characters, which I think would endear more people to them who aren't really familiar with their personalities as individuals.

Thing is, about all I CAN do is translate: does anyone here have any experience subbing something like this, or know who I can contact to get into it with me? If possible, I'd like to do this really nicely. I know nacchi_camui and I subbed the Host Club skit from On 4 ages ago, but I dunno if she'd like to try this as well or have time, or if anyone else has some suggestions as well? :D

Also, it's more of a variety show style of show, and has lots of on-screen text that might be kinda hard to sub, any suggestions on that? I'm really actually kinda excited about doing this, so PLEASE. SOMEONE REPLY BEFORE I LOSE MY DRIVE!

I fansub (timing/typesettting) for a group...but I'm not sure if my computer can hold two different projects at once. Still, I can give you some pointers on how to do it if worse comes to worst. A good place to start is probably Aegisub's wiki and browsing through the Animesuki forum.

Nah, I'd only translate--that's tough enough. If no one steps up, it just won't get done.

people on aarin do it sometimes so you can throw it out on there..or I guess I could..and if they don't do it they'll tell you how..good people they are:)sorry thats all I can do :(

I could probably do it if no one else offers. I just tested subtitling in my video editing program and it seems easy enough.

But only if no one else offers. Because I'd hate to take the job from someone who's better at subbing. ^^;

Have you done much subbing or stuff before? I could definitely wait til you've settled back in at home, seeing as I haven't even started translating XD But that'd be great if you could help *____*

I've done quite a bit subbing for school before and some interviews for personal entertainment 8D I'd be glad to help! Having Naipani translated to English will hopefully give a great boost to fandom.

I was curious if somebody would translate it someday @@I’m part of D-Royal Fansub and I even asked my group if they want to do it, but we couldn’t find enough people for this >.<

-Timer – it would be great to have at lest 2 ^-^
-QC
-Typesetter
-Encoder
-and someone to upload things on different servers.
I doubt you will want to do this as join project of you and D-Royal, ne?? I will talk with others peoples from my group and maybe they will help us. I know that I can recruit at least one person who is great typesetter =] As for me, originally I was just timer but now I can be anybody except translator ^o^

That one is going to be tough though, they tend to speak really fast and all over each other sometimes. But clearly it'd be awesome. I'd just need to download all the softwares again :p

Actually, if you agree to do joint projects with someone (you translate in return for timing/typesetting/encoding), any sub group would be happy to have you...
