Oh HAY GUYS.

Okay so, if you didn't know, this place called Den has the best all-you-can-eat yakiniku for cheap (~2000yen) and I want to go there hard because I haven't had people to go with in a while and, well, yakiniku is very much a group experience.

If enough people want to go (read: more than just me), I want to head out after senshuuraku or POSSIBLY Tuti's bday if people don't mind rushing; the place is open super late, but the last train out of Musashi-sakai (~20 min from Shinjuku) is at just before midnight, and we don't want anyone having to hitchhike back to their respective sleeping place, right? :P

So, anyone want to come stuff themselves with meat with me? Of course there are a ton of veggie options, as well as seafood if you want that too, so it's not just meat meat meat. It's more fun with more people, because it's a real communal experience, and [livejournal.com profile] lavenderlilly and [livejournal.com profile] rensahannou and [livejournal.com profile] hamykia can tell you Den is legit as far as taste is concerned :D

If anyone's up for it, let me know, and let me know if you'd prefer post-Tuti's bday or post-senshuuraku (I know some people will not be there for senshuuraku, but it's better as far as time is concerned)

So last night [livejournal.com profile] darksprite and I went to have some GRILLED MEAT at Den yakiniku, and it was delicioso :D However, we got put in the same booth that I've been at every single time I've gone there for the past, like, 3-4 times, wtf? She and I now suspect there is a hidden camera pointed there so that the employees can sit back in the breakroom and watch us and make fun of the foreigners trying to eat Japanese food XD;;;

Before that, though, we killed some time in Sunshine City to work up a hunger--and then headed to Shinjuku to look at the lights! So pretty~

Check out the illuminaaaaation )Since we were already on the southwest side of the station, and [livejournal.com profile] darksprite had never seen it, we popped over to Space Zero to see if anything was going on, and realized it was senshuuraku for Naoya's current play XD;;; Unfortunately, it was a little after 6 right then, and the show had started at 5:30 :P Ah well! It was kinda fun being right there with Naoya just inside, though :D

Speaking of Naoya -- I see from his blog that BURIMYU STARTS TODAY! Kao! Awase! Kao! Awase! 顔! 合わせ! XDDDDD MEET AND GREET IS POSSIBLY HAPPENING AS I TYPE THIS GAIZ. Footage is being taped! Tuti is making snarky remarks to Eiji and/or Nagayan! Tacchan is pissing himself in excitement! Usui is bemoaning his lack of hair again!

BRING OOOOOON THE BLOG PHOTOS, BOYS.

Oooooh god guys.

MY DAD SENT TENCHOU PRESENTS.

Like, took a cardboard box, and packed it full of awesome shit from Louisiana (shot glasses, hats, candy, souvenirs, all kinds of fun crap) and wrote a letter and then MAILED IT TO TENCHOU XDDDDD

I am now sitting by my phone waiting for the call from Tenchou going, "wwwwwwtf did your father SEND ME?? I CANNOT READ THIS." and then I will say, "I hear Tsuchiya-san's a pretty good English speaker..." 8DDDDD

Seriously though, I hope he posts to his blog about it or something XD I can't wait to hear his reaction to it XD

In other news, MEAT NIGHT WAS AWESOME. We got a table with 2 grills, which was perfect since we had 7 people in our group. We also got there at the PERFECT time, just before they started getting busy, and had no wait! WOOHOO!

Picked up my RikkaiMyu tickets afterwards...ugh :/ 2nd floor, row C, seat 3. FUCK. At least I have binoculars ;_; I'm totally going to see this more than once, guys. TOTALLY.

However, as if repaying me for having a shit seat there...

Paula, Rachel, and I all get to sit in a row together at the Hosogai event, despite getting our tickets separately (though we did do it in quick succession).

Our seat numbers?

A 3-5. A. As in, the first letter of the alphabet. As in, probably FRONT ROW, BABY. I don't even care that they're off to the side, there don't look to be a horribly large number of seats according to the hall website! FUCK YES. FRONT ROW TO OGLE HOSOGAI'S BEAUTIFUL JAPANESE-AMERICAN-NESS.

Tomorrow is our June 30th Tuti/Nagayan Anniversary event ♥ LET'S SINGING, EATING, AND FANGIRLING! Will post the essay in the morning ^___^

*so excited*

It's MEAT DAY ladies and gents. That beautiful day that comes but once a month (except for February :( Unless it's a leap year). NIKU NO HI. Bunches of us meat-loving freaks are getting together this evening (including [livejournal.com profile] nikki_aino who will most definitely NOT be so tired she's liable to fall face-first onto the grill) at Den for ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT YAKINIKU! WOOHOO!

...But before that, I need to ORDER A CAKE. >_> My paycheck's later than usual this month because of the weekend, so I'm scraping by barely at the moment. Meant to order a cake yesterday, but lack of money prevented me. REALLY hoping to get paid today >_> And that Ducky Duck can make a cake by tomorrow >_>;; GEEZ GUYS. Why'd you have to meet at the END of the month?!

Well, with or without cake, it will be a fabulous time filled with curry and karaoke at the very least! It'd be fun if we could all invade M's curry, buuuut I think we'd fill that place up, like, instantly. Smaller than Gain, it is!

For now, I get to look forward to stuffing my gullet full of cowflesh and rice tonight. MMMMMM!

PS - anyone know if This Is My Best is out at karaoke yet? I just heard it and have FALLEN IN LOVE. Also, I actually think I might like 5th cast's One More Step better overall! I LOVED 4th's harmony (and sdifushdfls I'm sorry BabaRyo, but God has an AMAZING voice) and I think I like Shougo's singing better than Ryuuki's (plus, oh god, poor Ryuuki. "Mada mada da na"? YOUR CHARACTER HAS ONE LINE HE ALWAYS SAYS. AND YOU GOT IT WRONG D:) but sidufhsidufhlsfds Tsujimoto and Takasaki there in the beginning just gave me chills, and new!Fuji (...Takahashi? Hashimoto? idek yet) sounds REALLY good, too!! Their whole TEAM is slowly but surely dragging me down. I can't WAIT to see these boys kick ass.

...No, not that time of the month.

Tomorrow night is the 29th, my most favorite evening of every month: NIKU NO HI! (Meat Day, because 2 = "ni" and 9 = "ku/kyuu"), and that means ALL YOU CAN EAT YAKINIKU AT DEN!

Den is a yakiniku restaurant chain that we frequented as JETs in Shiga, and I LOVE it, especially for this day, where you get all the yakiniku you want for 1700yen IIRC. And if you've never had yakiniku, don't be fooled into thinking it's just meat (which there IS a lot of meat, any and every kind of meat imaginable!), it's also got a ton of veggies on the menu, rice rice rice, all kinds of dipping sauces, salad, everything! And it's GOOD, too *____*

I've gone to the Kita-Hachiouji Den since moving here, mostly because it's the one that was most easily locatable when I first moved and had no internet XD Since getting net, I still haven't found one that's as easy a walk from its station as this one, and since I'm quite familiar with it, I like to go there.

That being said, would anyone like to join me for yakiniku tomorrow evening? Yakiniku is definitely a group affair, and far more fun with at least two or three people than alone (if no one comes, I'm not going :/). I was thinking of meeting at Kita-Hachiouji station (Shinjuku station-->Hachiouji-->Kita-Hachiouji is the route I usually take) around 7, 7:30 at the latest so as not to be too far out of Tokyo too late (last trains are usually around 11:30).

You don't have to like meat to enjoy yakiniku, you just have to want to hang out :) So whether you love or hate meat, COME CELEBRATE MEAT DAY WITH MEEEEE~!!!
