So! I was a little disappointed at first to realize that the performance included on the Tokyo Return DVD was senshuuraku, and not the maeraku that I saw! I mean, of course everyone wants to see senshuuraku, but I had seen maeraku, and really wanted to be able to relive the AWESOMENESS I experienced there. Well, this morning, as I checked to see how my rip of the DVDs was going, I realized that Marvelous HAD indeed included the entire maeraku performance! Granted, it was in a wide shot the entire time, so hardly DVD quality, no closeups or anything, but still!
And that means...I get to PICSPAM you people with SaiRui's great comeback in the form of handholding! You guys know what a sucker I am for boys holding hands :P ( Venture past the cut to see what I saw :D )

15 July 2008 07:46 pmSo, the good news is SAITOU AND RUITO WILL BE ON STAGE AGAIN TOGETHER :DDDDDDD
The bad news is it's double cast for Saitou with the new guy (why just a few Hyoutei guys? o_O) so there may be key climactic slashy scenes where Sugardaddy!Saitou is not with his Ruito-formerly-known-as-shotabait :(
And to make matters worse, it's still 4th cast Seigaku all around >_< I'm more excited about 5th cast, seeing as 4TH CAST MADE ME CRY, but I suppose Tsujimoto and whoever's-playing-Eiji's new combination could possibly be worse than 4th cast's, and I ought to go with the Devil I do know rather than the one I don't.
Bah, I'm probably gonna cry when it comes time for synchronization. BUT I'LL GO ANYWAYS. Just the thought of Saitou and Ruito finally being on stage together again now that Rui's more hot than cute is sdlfuihsldflsdiufhsilufhsdf yes. Yes there is a God and yes He does approve of my nasty habits.

Saitou: "But, really, and the rest of the Hyoutei team is in agreement here, that during auditions the person who left the greatest impression as Gakuto's actor was Ruito here."
Kawakubo: "Ooh!"
Saitou: "I saw him during auditions and thought, 'He really is Gakuto!' and when I talked to the rest of the cast members about it, they thought the same thing. I was casting people in my own head during auditions, and it wound up being exactly that! It's like, 'Wow, so I decided it huh...' (haha) Sorry..."
Hyoutei Winter Interview [Araki + Kujirai + Saitou + Ruito]
――Aoyagi-kun, what was your first impression of Seigaku?
Ruito: "................"
Saitou: "So, what Ruito meant was...." (everyone laughs) "Umm, it was Dream Live--that was the first performance we saw."

From the recent TeniMyu diary update:
On this day, it was Saitou-san's birthday! Kamakari-kun said, "We've gotta plan some sort of surprise!" and started plotting with Aoyagi-kun. Aoyagi-kun remembered being completely tricked last time during Dream Live 3rd by Saitou-kun. So of course he had to exact revenge here! However, Saitou-kun's pretty stubborn... So first, Aoyagi-kun collapsed onto the mats in the dressing room, and then everyone set up chairs and got ready. When the time was right, they started the surprise!
「Oh no! Ruito has--!」
「He's bleeding!」
「Takumi-kun, hurry!」
When Saitou-kun barrelled into the room, everyone went into action! When he rushed in with a, "Ruito! Are you okay?!" and lifted him into his arms, then made to lift away the blanket covering him strangely, and there was a cake!
When everyone started singing 「Happy Birthday～♪」, he knew he'd been had. And that explains his face in the image (here). The surprise was a success, and Aoyagi's smiling too! Happy 25th birthday!!
