Mmk, if any of you have read Havemercy (or more importantly, the sequel Shadow Magic), it is absolutely imperative you read this fic, as it is a lovely little Alcibiades/Caius get-together, and who doesn't love those??
And if you haven't read Havemercy and Shadow Magic, WHY NOT? Not only excellent, fun fantasy plot, it's got slashy menfolk galore and dragons and magic and one major couple who actually gets together and is adorable and sidufhslidf :3 I highly recommend it (coming from someone who typically doesn't really enjoy fantasy/magic books), if only so you can adore that fic I linked above. The fic author did an AMAZING job of capturing their characterizations and thought patterns 100%, so it's like getting to read a little omake to the books~ :DDDD
I usually don't really like Scorpius/Albus (or AS/S if you like that name XD), mostly because it reminds me too much of 2nd-gen Harry/Draco, and reading a fic that has BOTH of those pairings in it is really not my cup of tea for some reason. And if it DIDN'T have Harry and Draco lusting after each other at some point in it, then I'd be even more disinclined to read it, seeing as they're my HP OTP...
But I love this fic. And I love the Scorpius/Albus stuff more than the Harry/Draco ;__; I want to read more fic for those two now...

mijan. It's seriously one of my favorites, and I think it's one of the top IC fics of all time.
The premise, for those unfamiliar, is that Harry has caused the Malfoys ultimate humiliation getting Lucius sent to Azkaban. Draco swears revenge, and in a move that promises him glory in Voldemort's eyes and all of the Dark side, he manages to kidnap Harry, taking him as Voldemort's prisoner. Over the course of Harry's captivity, though, Draco's views shift as he talks to Harry more, and the two make a daring escape, for all the good it will do in the end.
I love this fic, because it takes the two from their canon relationship--intense rivalry and hatred bordering on murderous intentions or at least an, "I don't care if you live or die," to fragile friendship to deep friendship bordering on something more, and does it all slowly and perfectly. If anyone wants to read a good H/D fic that builds their relationship beautifully, I HIGHLY recommend Eclipse.
What prompted this post, though? Well I hadn't thought of it in a while, until I read on the H/D fic news feed thatmijan had started a sequal! Of course I'm now going back to reread Eclipse because it's been so long I've almost forgotten how the end went (and she stresses it's really important to read it before attempting the sequal).
But if anyone else is interested in the sequal, check it out: Convergence - Chapter 1.
