Last day of work
24 July 2008 01:28 pmIt's my last day of work now, and already it's more than half over. I had fun at this job, buuuut I definitely won't be crying when I leave today XD;;;; Damn English speech contests! :P
I'm going out tonight with the crazy English teacher and the cool English teacher, should be an interesting experience 8D I've already told them I can't be out too late, though...cause I haven't started packing yet 8D;;;; My bags are due to be shipped off in the morning, so, uh, I need to get on that XD
In other news: I HATE the Japanese policy of "only the person who opened/started something can close/end it, even if they give permission and all necessary info to a representative." This means I had to cancel my SkyPerfect TV myself--meaning I had to call them myself >_>--and deal with all that.
BUT, caloo calay they had an English menu option, so I pressed it and hoped for the best...and I actually got someone who spoke good English, YAY! Having never called a company and asked for an English speaking person, I wasn't sure if I'd even be able to understand them, or if they just kept a supply of gaijin in the closet or what, but the guy was really nice (...and sounded really young and hot, too >_> *ahem* Keisuke-saaaan...) and I think I got everything taken care of.
I pack tonight, ship my stuff off tomorrow, go say goodbye to the Superintendent and Mayor after that, kill time until we go for an enkai with the ALTs who are leaving Friday evening, and then Saturday morning I'm going to try for the 9 AM Hikari Shinkansen out of Maibara (my supervisor's being a doll and driving me to Maibara so I don't have to lug my bag all the way to the station myself XD;;) and it's OFF TO TOKYO FOREVAAARRRRR!!
I'm going to try and drop in on Tenchou to see if there are any scraps of Blossam left over from the sale, since
daiki_dansu wants one of the babypenis!tank-tops, and am looking forward to telling him I'm all moved, so that he can tell the hubby to expect a lot more stalking <333333
Also, will have to inspect this apartment building further. The prospect of having Tuti for a neighbor gives me an UNQUENCHABLE THIRST FOR KNOWLEDGE. Yes, I know perfectly well Tokyo Rent probably owns the whole building, which is probably occupied by foreigners already. WHO SAYS HE WOULDN'T WANNA PRACTICE HIS ENGLISH??
Updates as they arrive ♥
