Marukawa Shoten is near me?!

fencer_xAnd DUUUUUDE so I dunno why Nakamura-sensei was this specific (or the animators rather; there was zero reference to this in the manga), buuuuut Marukawa Shoten is right by Iidabashi Station? Compare:

I just find it weird it's never referenced in the manga (totally an anon station) and yet here it's really clearly an easily identified station. Craziness!
However, despite going into an entrance that supposedly leads to the Metro lines (Yuurakucho is I think the only one?), he takes the Oedo line (afaik Oedo line is the only one with those lovely lime green pillars):

Plus the long tunnel he walks through is just like that leading to the Oedo line from the surface:

So I think it's pretty clear Ritsu rides the Oedo line from Iidabashi (presumably very close to Marukawa) home--at least part of the way--and likely takes track 1 (towards Shinjuku) because he runs down the corridor and just barely misses getting on the first car in the train (not the last one, which would've been the track going the opposite direction).
