XDDDD
So, I need to be in bed, but first I have a story.
Today was the send-off party-ish thingee for a guy who's worked with my office for 3ish years. He's moving back to his native Canada, and so we all got together for some drinks on the roof of our building (because we're on the top floor and it's a nice garden/open space area) after work. My boss decided for some reason to invite...his dentist! I don't really know why, but the guy--while Japanese--spoke very good English, was fun to talk to, and most importantly: brought along his very young, quite fetching intern named Kousuke :D *ahem* BUT I DIGRESS.
Another guy in our office is kind of outsourced because he lives in Nagano. Apparently he loves Japanese booze and is kind of apprenticing at a sake factory or something, with the hope to one day open one up in Canada. As a farewell gift, he sent a bottle of sake to our office, and we opened it up.
While everyone else was getting drunk off of what apparently was the best of its kind in 2010 (it won some big award), I was studying the label. Why? Because this is the name of the sake factory XD
土屋酒造店
XDDDDDD (it says: "Tsuchiya Sake Brewery") They even have a website! AND THEY ACCEPT ORDERS. Sooooo while it's usually frowned upon to bring food/drink to a show to give as a gift, these guys obviously get alcohol presents all the time SOMEHOW, so I'm thinking it wouldn't be a huge faux pas if I had this brewery send Tuti some of the Good Stuff :D It's not horribly expensive (a med-sized bottle seems to be ~3000 yen for the one that won the awards that we tasted) and I think Tuti'd get a kick out of it if he's never tried it :D (though something tells me there's a good chance he got himself a bottle or three when he and Nagayan were in Nagano filming that movie XD)
Good/Bad/Ugly idea?
