fencer_xI AM FAMOUS GUYS.
Asagaya, where the event was being held, is about an hour from my work, and since I didn't want to be late, I took off a few minutes early to catch an earlier train. No need to rush, though, as I made it in plenty of time~
Meg and I met up in the station and then hurried out to the little theater around the corner, where we were greeted by a mask-wearing Sano Daiki as we all shuffled inside XD We had quite good seats, pretty much smack in the middle of the middle, so a great view! Also, a great spot for being seen, as we were hoping :DDDDD
While everyone filed in, Daiki and helper!Tecchan wandered around IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AUDIENCE, climbing over people and shoving his ass in people's faces just like last year, to sell his little mint case thingee~ They were adorable and we bought some later, because Sano Daiki is nonetheless intimidating XD;;;
Before the show started, Daiki gave a little story for some reason I forget about how he performed in a show with Gotou Maki of Morning Musume in the past. There was one scene where he and she had to be stuffed in this little corner to come onto the stage, and it was very narrow, barely fitting two people. They did fine in rehearsals, and opening night came at last...and they took their spots as expected. Except it was way narrower than Daiki remembered, and when he turned around...HER MANAGER HAD SHOVED HIMSELF IN THERE WITH HER AND DAIKI XDDDDD To make sure no one tried anything with her, apparently XD;;;;;; Hearing that, I was absolutely bowled over by the now much more probable image of Tamacchi hovering over Nagayan to make sure Tuti doesn't try anything 8DDDDD
We were also introduced to Daiki's "pet", Tecchan the Panda XD Wearing that same panda costume of Daiki's from last time, he was adorable XDDD
For the skit this time, it was Treasure Box 2.5! This time, Kawakami (yes, Tecchan's character from Reverse Historica and Secret Box XD) came on ready for a 2 on 2 group date with a friend of his. He'd thought about inviting Tsuda (eeee Becchin XD) but decided he wasn't the right type, and that he needed and awesome, competent wingman to help him land a date. So he invites another friend...one AMANAI RIN! Of course it goes downhill quickly with Rin inadvertently showing off and getting the girl while poor Kawakami is left lamenting that he really should have brought along Tsuda DDDDD: (and thus not helping me not be interested in writing some mild Kawakami/Tsuda at aaalllllll)
After the skit, Daiki came back out to get ready for his friend to come over...and stripped to his boxers for us again. Thanks, dude. It's been a couple of years since I've seen your ass, nice to see it hasn't changed :DNagayan, hear that??
And then...............out came the MAN OF THE HOUR, MR. THAAAAAAANE CAMUS!!! Meg and I were giddy with delight, and Thane did NOT disappoint. I guess it didn't really hit me, seeing him repeat his lines over and over, but holy SHIT is this guy good at Japanese. He was just flying through his talk with narry a backward glance and...it just made me so happy that Daiki gets to see foreigners can be awesome :D
He started off the talk giving Daiki his present XD An old hat that Thane had worn for many years and really liked. Daiki was overjoyed and wore it the rest of the time XDDDD And since they've only been in one show together, that meant....
THE MAJORITY OF THE TALK WAS ABOUT MAHAMO YAAAAAAY!!!
They relived some fun moments, discussed Thane's feelings about the show, his first time on stage, etc., and then Daiki looked out at the audience and said, "So who here has seen the DVD?" Not surprisingly, no one raised their hand XD He laughed, "...Yeah it'd be bad if you had, I guess XD" Duh :P
Well....Daiki, being Daiki, and his guest, being Thane....well Daiki pulled a few strings, made a few entreaties and...
GOT PERMISSION TO SHOW SOME HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE AS-YET-UNRELEASED MAHARAJA MODE DVD.
Oh FUCK YES. YES YES YES. We got to see the DVD before AAALLLLL you suckers and MAN was it awesome and sdilfuhsldifush THIS MUST MEAN IT'S COMING SOON SDLFUHSLIDUFHSD It was so awesome getting to see the guys again, all that Pasupata and Nataraja and Vishnu and Shiva and sdlfiushgldfiushdlfisdf YES 8DDDD
They discussed having one of the shows on Halloween, and how they gave out candy, and apparently Thane's kids and wife had come that night! And even better, they got to go backstage, and Thane had mentioned to the guys ahead of time that this would happen, and asked if they might be able to give the kids some candy since it was Halloween (now this is giving me all sorts of ideas that the whole Halloween gift thing was indeed Thane's suggestion!) and Daiki agreed. So when his kids came backstage, they came in to find...SANO DAIKI, STILL IN COSTUME, WITH A FRICKING BUCKET OF CANDY XDDDDDD He was all over the kids apparently, and tossed candy at them going, "Eiji's gonna come soon! You can meet him~!" <--YES, ONLY EIJI. WHAT. WHAT WHY? ARE YOU LIKE SOME MARRIED COUPLE WHO HAS TO--OH. OH YES I SEE. CARRY ON.
This then got Thane going on his baka otousan gig, and he started passing around pictures of his kids in their Halloween costumes--Luke Skywalker and R2D2 XDDDD D'awwww~~~~~ He really is a baka otousan :P Though when accused of this, he retorted easily, "lol no I'm just a plain old baka who happens to be a dad too 8D"They then got to discussing a little more, mostly about Thane's other works coming up, and he mentioned that he'd done some acting work in New York (where he's from) before moving to Japan, once wanting to be a Hollywood star, and this got Daiki excited, "So you must be famous over there, too, right??" Nope, he refuted--and actually...*pnish* was way more famous in America than Thane Camus.
"Eh?"
Yup, Thane confirmed, and then he POINTED STRAIGHT AT ME AND MEG AND SAID, I SHIT YOU NOT, "It's all thanks to her! They're making *pnish* famous in America and overseas!!"

I was just...I had no clue what to do. I at first thought he meant "girls like her" but then remembered that fricking 5-page long letter I'd written the man back during MahaMo and how I explained just why I was there and what I was doing and that I would go see him in Droom and sdlfiushdfls and holy shit no he meant I personally was the girl to thank.

:P I feel like I'm bragging and whatnot, but HOLY SHIT THAT WAS SERIOUSLY ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. Just--all that applause and recognition and I could get used to that *______*

MOVING ON! Eventually Thane had to leave, and Daiki was going to move into the next corner, which was apparently supposed to be the karaoke corner (yaaaay XD;;;;), but...then the lights went out.
And music started playing.
And BESSHI AND TECCHAN STEPPED OUT WITH A LIT CAKE, leading everyone in Happy Birthday ;____; I was so sad thinking Besshi had been replaced by Tecchan this time, but sldifuhliufsfdsdf BESSHI CAME (and being on a slight Besshi/Tecchan kick at that point from the mysterious deleted 'beloved Becchin' comment, this was aaaaaawesome 8D)
Daiki blew out the candles, and Besshi revealed he had a surprise. This was the second of three shows for the day, and earlier they'd surprised Daiki also--with a video from his MOTHER ;____; how sweeeeeeeet~!
Well, they had another video.

sldifuhsdlfiuhsdlifus THEY CAME THROUGH. I was so sad Eiji wasn't going to be able to attend his show this time and still that bastard came through, and what awesome timing too XD
I'll admit, it was very...eclectic XD Tuti did his segment taped in Kichijouji (where apparently there are rehearsal halls! Hellooooooo info that is good to have!) and gave us stupid facts about Kichijouji, like the fences are white, 7-11's colors are green, white, red, and orange, and oh btw happy birthday Daiki-chan. Eiji's was...even weirder XD He pretended like he was too busy reading a book and gave these weird monotone comments like he was too cool to be bothered XD; Wasshi's was adorable as he was unusually upbeat and peppy and excited XDDDDD
After the show, we got some weird little sticker from Daiki that looks like a fuda with his name on it for keeping away danger XD; umm ok -- it was special for the birthday shows, so yay? XD
We puttered around hoping that maybe we could spot Thane and corner him todrug him and steal his phonetake him out for a drink to thank him for the really awesome shout-out that I don't think we'll ever forget, but alas :P We were left with naught but memories....!
...BUT HOLY SHIT 'EM ARE SOME GOOD MEMORIES!!
Going to see Kako Rion's show tomorrow, and then Yuzawa's on Sunday :3 Can't wait~!
