On 7 #7 (for me XD) -- this was probably one of the more entertaining ones :D

It's unfortunate that going to see a show multiple times kind of jades you to the comedy. After the 3rd or 4th time, it just stops being HILARIOUS, but then...you feel horrible for not laughing! This is why I'm always thrilled and laugh extra hard at ad-libbing :D And the boys continue to dish it out! :D

I got off work today at 5 and was starrrrrving, so as soon as I got to Omotesandou and met up with [livejournal.com profile] nikki_aino, I asked if we could kill the hour until the show started at Starbucks or something so I could put foodstuffs in my belly. She agreed, and we headed towards the Starbucks nearest the theater, which was right at the nearby streetlight.

The Starbucks was part of a 2-floor bit of building, and right next to the entrance was a staircase leading up to another restaurant. The place had a big sign outside that caught my eye, and I couldn't quite place my finger on it for about 30 seconds...

Why did that name look so familiar...it was just a random restaurant near Aoyama Theater and...

Wait a minute.

Aoyama Theater?

There was a pretty big play performed there a couple of years back, wasn't there...

Oh right.

CODE LIVE 001 XDDDDD It was kinda weird, like, "zomg Tuti and Nagayan MC'd the uchiage in here!! Now I wanna GO and see what kinda stuff they have :D

That wasn't the end of the awesomeness secreted away in that little corner--I looked above the Starbucks sign and then caught this:

I WAS AT NELKE PLANNING. Behind a mere few doors and some silly security guards sat the CAST LIST for Maharaja Mode >_> Nnngh. At least now I know where to stalk.

One quick note regarding the show today, I paid eeeeextra close attention to Tuti's intro dance today, wanting to find out if he'd really been doing that "NOW WITH SPECIAL HIP THRUSTING ACTION" move the entire time and I'd just not noticed...and found out he did not! Which I think means that he just did it ESPECIALLY for the DVD XD OH TUTI ILUSM.

The first skit was pretty normal--though in the very beginning, Tuti, Eiji, and Wasshi all come out playing tag and usually wind up falling on each other. Today, Tuti knocked them both to the ground, then proceeded to remove Eiji's sandal and slap him with it XD

One of the BEST parts, though, came with the elementary school skit (as usual XD). There's one point where Tuti tells Eiji to do something with his bentou--I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be "throw it away", but a few days ago Tuti flubbed the line, and it was so funny he's been doing it on purpose ever since XD;;; Today, when Eiji made fun of him for it, Tuti calmly took his chocolate banana...stalked over to Eiji...and shoved it in his mouth.

Yes, Tuti took the brown, phallic object. And pushed it into his fellow member's mouth.

I'll leave you to guess the reaction from the audience XDDDDDD

Eiji's response: "...you know, for a chocolate banana, it sure doesn't taste chocolatey..." <--SHIT YA NOT.

Items to be found today were a not-yellow hat (the guys' hats were all yellow) and a diamond ring (WTF XD). Daiki's and Tuti's corner included Tuti asking Daiki to teach him the "hage dance" ("baldie dance") that Daiki had shown off earlier to piss Tuti off XDDDDD also included was "Train Conductor" in which Tuti pretended to be a conductor on the Yamanote line and Daiki was supposed to be a passenger but then decided he'd be someone on the form waving goodbye to the train XD "Zoo Time" was Tuti pretending to be what appeared to be an elephant, but Daiki made no attempt to guess ("Are you....a Tsuchiya Yuuichi?") and so Tuti just wound up running around looking quite retarded, and finally "Noodles."

This meant Tuti, as the noodles, had to lie on the ground and pretend...to be noodles. Daiki would be the cook, so he needed to flatten the noodles. He first took out his recorder/flute and used it like a rolling pin. Then a stroke of genius hit, and he decided to use his entire body, and wound up rolling from side to side on top of Tuti for a while 8D;;;;;

Little Women skit was in rare form today, if only for the entirely untimely falling off of the sole of one of Wasshi's shoes XD;;;;

It just...fell off in the middle of the show. And they all kind of stared at it, confused as to what to do.

Now, generally, some little wardrobe malfunction wouldn't merit that much confusion, but the Aoyama Round Theater stage is super low, almost ground-level, and you are literally INCHES from the guys, so...you can see everything. It's not like they could nonchalantly remove it.

So they left it at first, and tried to continue saying their lines. But after Eiji and Tuti both failed to say their next lines without dissolving into giggles, Tuti suggested, "Just...just pick it up..." after which Wasshi calmly set it down on the bench beside himself and the show continued XD;;;

The taiko drumming was awesome as usual, but as expected I've come to get more and more excited with the approach of the ending talk segment. Today's...today's was probably my favorite so far :x

Daiki opened the segment by mentioning that *pnish* was 8...8 long years together as *pnish*, and that a lot had happened to them. A whooooooooole lot. Yup. <--as he was saying this, he turned away from Tuti and Wasshi and staaaaaaaared at Eiji. And then kept staaaaring and talking about all the stuff they'd been through, all the things that had happened...

Eiji finally twigged and was all, "..............what?!"

XD Daiki obviously wanted him to talk about some of those things, so Eiji recalled fondly what he termed, "The Natto Incident." He casually asked if any of the audience REMEMBERED this incident, of which all of something like THREE people did.

Eiji then decided to tell the story, and Daiki warned him that he'd better tell it FAIRLY and WITHOUT BIAS. Eiji agreed and we were all drawn into the story, back during On2...

Apparently during rehearsals at the time, Eiji had been pulling double-duty, since he had another show coming up soon after the On. This meant he had to split himself between rehearsal halls, so he did On rehearsals in the morning, left for the other hall in the afternoon, and then rejoined *pnish* in the evening.

That morning, he'd bought himself a natto bentou (ugh :P), and placed it in the rehearsal hall refrigerator. He'd carefully instructed the others that he would be back later, and to please not eat his bentou.

...So of course when he got back it was gone.

Who'd done it, he'd asked the others. But no one had said a word, and Eiji said he couldn't exactly accuse anyone, he was supposed to TRUST these people. Well, rehearsals ended that day, and no confession. And then the performance came, and still no confession.

Then finally, at senshuuraku, Daiki strolled up to the center of the stage and proudly announced, "I ATE YOUR NATTO BENTOU WHOOPS LOLOLOLOL SRY."

Eiji had not been happy XD It was here in the story that Daiki interrupted and asked for the chance to explain himself. He'd actually planned on PRANKING Eiji. When Eiji had left, he'd gone to the nearest conbini and bought the exact same kind of bentou, and hidden it away. Then he'd eaten Eiji's bentou. The plan had been that, when Eiji got mad that Daiki had eaten his bentou, he'd laugh and pull out the replacement one and all would be forgiven with a few laughs.

But seeing how angry Eiji had been at having his bentou eaten had kinda scared Daiki from confessing so...he didn't XD;;;;;

Eiji then groused to us that he'd never gotten a real apology from Daiki, who waved his hands and said, "Okay okay fine, I'll do it here, right now!" No, Eiji argued, it wouldn't be honest in front of the audience--he should do it backstage. Daiki countered that it'd be MORE honest here, until Eiji eventually agreed.

After a few failed attempts at a start (ruined by laughing XD;) Daiki finally said with a straight face, "Eiji, I was the one who ate your natto bentou. I'm sorry, I apologize." Eiji nodded solmenly, and Daiki started forward, hand oustretched.

Nikki and I sat there watching, breath held, and in my mind I was thinking of the quote from Tommy Boy, "Brothers don't shake hands, brothers gotta hug!"

AND LIKE ALL SITUATIONS INVOLVING ME, EIJI, DAIKI, AND PHYSICAL MANIFESTATIONS OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP--THEY DID WHAT I PSYCHICLY ASKED THEM TO.

They met in the middle of the stage, shook hands, and then Daiki jerked Eiji forward and clapped his arms around him with a biiiiiiig squeeze--

...which was then shattered by Eiji's question, "...So wait, what was your name again?" <--a reference to a passionate hug between Tuti's and Daiki's characters in one of the skits, after which Daiki asks Tuti what his name is.

XD On this note of "members stealing each other's shit" they then went on to mention Tuti stealing one random juice pack out of a setup of 20 or so on Daiki's station (also in On2 IIRC, you can see this on the backstage!), and then waiting to see if Daiki noticed, and the guy noticed IMMEDIATELY, despite Tuti resetting the packs to look exactly the same. He never figured out who took it, though, until watching the DVD XDDDDD

The show ended, and I once again fled the theater--and Nikki joined me this time. I quickly purchased the last of the items I needed from the goods table and decided to just go ahead and go do, since an elevator was open, rather than try and wait around to catch a glimpse of the guys as they came out.

We went and boarded the elevator, which looks out into the lobby. Waiting for the doors to close, we saw a short man against the wall a few feet away...waving at us. Some of the other girls in the elevator were also a bit confused, nervously waving back...and then I looked closer...

TECCHAN.

Tecchan was waving at us XDDDDD At this, we of course waved back wildly, and he got kinda smily at that XD D'AWWW, TECCHAN. You're so GRUMPY on stage, but gawd you're cuuuuuute :x
