土井イベント、pt2!
29 September 2009 04:35 pmI got to Aoyama Mandala about 10 after 7 (after recovering from my mild heart attack), when the doors opened, and was surprised to find a few things:
1) They were already on #72...and I was #74. Talk about perfect timing!
2) TUTI WAS OUTSIDE WITH EVERYONE. I have no clue what he was doing, as like I said, I got there RIGHT as I was supposed to go in, but you can't miss that laugh and gangly body :D
Unfortunately, I had to enter, like, immediately, and so down I went into the bar...where I managed to get a slightly better seat than last time. One thing: it's incredibly intimidating and lonely going to events like this alone. No one talks to you cause you're foreign--though one girl did chat me up while we were waiting for the bathrooms. I love Tuti and Nagayan and *pnish* and Kitty Guys and all, but geez I wish I at least looked Asian if I can't have any foreign friends who live in Tokyo and want to go to all this stuff.
I sat down with my coke to kill the time before the show started. A little after 8, though, Tuti came RUNNING out onto the small stage in the suit you see here and started babbling in a lispy little voice about zomgggggg there were lots of GIRLS in this park and zomgggggg he was so excited! And ZOMG HIS LITTLE SISTER WAS HERE!
...And out toddles Yotti, at which point there were loud cheers and, "KAWAAAAIIIIIIIII~~~~!!!" because yes, she was adorable. They then introduced themselves as YUUICHI and YOSHIKOOOOO~
Then "Yuuichi" said he had someone very special coming today.......their LITTLE BROTHER! "Eh? We have a little brother?!" Yoshiko exclaimed...to which Yuuichi replied, "Well see, Papa had another girlfriend besides Mama and then..."
XD;;;; SO OUT TODDLES "SHOUGO-KUN"~!!!
...And Shougo-san tried. Really he did. It was adorable, but he really couldn't affect the cute little lisp :P Once they were all gathered together, they launched into their family intro, which involved lots of 70s-era dancing to James Brown's Sex Machine XD;;;; it was hot, at least? XD Tuti in his old suit looked particularly outdated, though XD;
Here, they commenced with their proper intro, detailing what would happen--they'd already done their elementary skit and dancing, so next they were going to do an "etude"--which I knew as "A short piece of music, designed to give a soloist performer practice in a particular area or skill" but which apparently referred here to something like a piece from Whose Line Is It Anyway, where the trio were given a brief plot and then had to make everything up as they went along.
The plot was that Iseki-san was playing a woman torn between her love for her older boyfriend (Shougo-san) and the passion for her younger boyfriend (Tuti). They decided that the scene would take place in an airport cafe...and then let us decide the rest! The trio needed jobs, so they took suggestions from the audience to decide this. It wound up:
Tuti: street performer
Shougo-san: doctor
Yotti: Kindergarten teacher <3 awwww
They played rock-paper-scissors to determine who would end the scene, with the honor falling to Yotti, and the scene started.
...it was pretty hilarious XD They all really kinda sucked at ad-libbing XD some highlights were Tuti not being able to think of things to say and Shougo-san thinking he was a foreigner who just didn't know Japanese, and spoke really slowly and was like, "...Are you Cambodian? Wait no--VIETNAMESE!" Also, they had a slow-mo fight over Yotti, and it ended with her leaving Tuti dying on the floor while Shougo-san tried to save him and she went off with a new man XD;;;
Next was...singing! This was a really enka-y song called Sake to Namida to Otoko to Onna ("Alcohol, Tears, Men, and Women") - Shougo-san sang the first verse, Yotti the second, and Tuti the third. In addition to singing, though, you also got TUTI ON THE GUITAR 8OOOOOOO
Now, the guy wasn't bad--he'd obviously been practicing--but he'd also obviously only JUST started learning XD; And singing while playing an instrument that requires hand coordination is definitely not something I can do...and definitely not something Tuti has an easy time of either, apparently 8D He had to stop and start over a few times, because he couldn't get the melody right for singing, tripping himself up. They eventually got it together (after getting some booze in the boy 8D) and finished up the song, to great applause :x A+, WOULD FANTASIZE ABOUT NAGAYAN TEACHING TUTI GUITAR AGAIN.
This ended the first half--and after a 15 min break, they started the second half, the "反省会" (where you go over what you did right and wrong in the show). They talked for a bit about the actual show, even asking at one point if any of the girls had ever, like Yotti in the skit, played 2 guys at once. Of course no one was going to ADMIT IT, so they had us all close our eyes and asked again--and 2 girls apparently raised their hands XD tsk tsk tsk~
After they ran out of things to talk about regarding the event, they chatted about their next time to perform together--for all three of them, it was going to be January/February's BuriMyu run. The were all really surprised when it got announced, and Yotti confessed, after making us promise not to tell (...so, uh, no one post about this in Japanese >_>), that there was pretty much NOTHING decided for the show XD Like, no script or anything. UMM. ISN'T THAT KINDA BAD?
This just inspired Shougo-san and Tuti to make up their own show, though. Shougo-san suggested they all switch up roles--at which Tuti recommended, "Ooh, you can be Gin!!" This brought up the problem, then, of who would Tuti play? Shougo-san gave this some thought before suggesting, "Hanatarou!" This then of course meant that poor little Koppe would be Zaraki XDDDDDD I WOULD PAY TO SEE THIS. "...That would be an absolutely not-cute Hanatarou" <--thus spake Yotti. Yes.
This then drew talk to Maharaja Mode, since of course Tuti and Yotti are working on that at the moment. Much laughter was had commenting on Wasshi's utter inability to read kanji, how Thane is even better than him (insert Tuti fanboying Thane a bit), and on Eiji's being COMPLETELY out of the loop regarding who was actually in the show, as he asked Shougo-san during a chance run-in at a conbini near the rehearsal hall if he was going to be in the show, too ("...He's a *pnish* MEMBER! Shouldn't he know this?!")
This also led to a bit of fun at Tuti's expense when Yotti recounted how earlier that day (I think), they'd all gotten together at the MahaMo rehearsal hall to practice a bit before the show--including the singing bit. Naturally, it's an open hall, so everyone in the cast could see and hear them. Wasshi and Eiji wandered over, both being the more musically inclined of the group, and watched/listened. When it came time for Tuti's solo, though...they sat there straight-faced and silent. And by straight-faced and silent I mean holding in their laughter so furiously that their faces were red with effort, as Yotti demonstrated XDDDDD OH POOR THING! I'm totally wondering what Nagayan was doing this time, since he LOVES making fun of Tuti's singing at every opportunity XDDDDDD
However, revenge was had when Shougo-san, upon being asked by Yotti to rank the *pnish* members from best to worst singer, he decided, "...Wasshi...Tuti.......................................................Daiki-chan." And stopped there XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
The event ended with another round of singing Sake to Namida to Otoko to Onna, to give Tuti a chance to redeem himself on the guitar, and he did do better, so YAY! They took their final bows and said they'd had a ton of fun, but didn't know if they'd do this again, because surely everyone wouldn't want to.......which got a lot of applause and, "ZOMG YES WE'LL COME" of course from the audience :D
SO. UNTIL NEXT TIME!!

Date: 2009-09-29 11:13 am (UTC)Poor Wasshi and him not being able to read kanji. :I :D
A sidenote, Tuti looks really, really, really good in his suit. :I And still wooot for playing the guitar! (It suits him. Mmm.)
I don't know Yotti (other than what I've read on your journal) but she sounds really funny and great.

Date: 2009-09-29 10:29 pm (UTC)Secondly... so the boy wasn't drinking as much this time around? Not that there wasn't drinking being done, but compared to the previous event... that is something that seems to stick out as different between the two.
I would totally pay double to see THAT version of BuriMyu. OMGoodness. Though I think Tuti could pull of Hanatarou, if anything because he's a perfectionist ;)
Thanks for sharing your evening with us!

Date: 2009-09-29 11:30 pm (UTC)And guh, I'd kill to see Tuti playing guitar and messing up like that 8D I'm totally with him on not being able to sing and play at the same time, lol. I hated that, when I had to do it with piano. XD;;
Anyway~~~ FUN REPORT. YAY. <333
