Oh random (so I can kill the last 15 min of my work day): I watched both Takumi-kun Series shows over the weekend. Wasn't too over-the-top with the first, and was even less thrilled with the second (I blame my knee-jerk reaction to anything with Mao-chan in it now :P Seriously, he's adorable, but he and Toyo ruined GP for me and now I can't stand seeing him in anything, even if it's good >_>;). 2nd one had more love scenes, but they felt so weird, and Gii was an insensitive bastard for, like, 1/3 of the show, and I didn't want to see something angsty in my sappy stupid BL film THANK YOU VERY MUCH. Dai-chan remains exceedingly attractive, however, let this be said.

All in all, I pretty much feel like I want my bandwidth back XD Why don't these people spend a little effort making a movie based on a GOOD BL series those exist?! Like...I dunno. Junjou Romantica (HAHAHAHAHAHAHA)

Right now? I'm frightened they're going to make Shouta the next Takumi ;_; (TRY AND TELL ME HE DOESN'T SEEM THE TYPE--all uke and pouty and begging to be molested...>_>;;;;) <--so many levels of Do Not Want it's not even funny.

It was way weird seeing Hosogai in that show, too, btw :/

Mao-chan just annoys me period full stop. The only thing he's got going for him in my world, is his smile. His poutyvoice grates on me like nobody's business and he can't act much. >_> Mind, I don't think the Takumi character helps. He seems to be annoying in his own right, but for this I need to check out the first move, where Mao-chan won't get in the way. :P

Dai-chan, though... Sigh. So handsome.

I should repeat that I do like Mao's smile, though. I'd probably have liked the movie better if he'd smiled more. That, however, would probably not have been in Takumi's character, right? ^^;

IDK, something about his voice is just so... Adorable? AND HIS CD SOUNDS REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY GOOD. Unlike some people's CDs *cough LUKE C cough* XD God, that was horrible. But Mao's CD, mmmm. If I didn't know it was his song, I wouldn't have guessed from the first track, he sounds so DIFFERENT. And did I mention REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY GOOD?

Mhmm. But, like Suzuki said, Gii makes Takumi smile, so there's definitely more of smiling!Takumi after [Niji-iro]. Mao smiles quite often in that bit after the bed scene, YAY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

NOW that would be interesting... that would def be an announcement saying I totally got into the anime/manga.... btw... anyone else notice(int he utaku USA magazine) that junjou is being brought over here by rightstuff??? it looks just like staying subbed as loveless and sukisho did.. but i do not care.

I don't hate him, he just tends to bring up bad memories for me (which isn't so much his fault...as Ueshima's) :P Like I said, knee-jerk reaction. I enjoyed the first one enough to want to see the second *shrug* It wasn't horrible, it was...exactly what I should've expected XD; typical BL fare that was sweet enough but didn't do much for me otherwise.

I love love LOVE the [Niji-iro] novel, and IMO the movie was very well executed. (Mao-loving and Daisuke-worshipping bias aside.) It was very loyal to the book, told all the important plot points unlike [Harukaze] which glossed over a couple of them just so that Aiba has a decent amount of screentime (srsly, Inoue sideplot was in no way at all relevant *orz*).

PLUS. MORITA. HIYORI YUKI. I LOVE THAT BOY SO MUCH LIKE NOBODY'S BUSINESS, can't wait to see his other movie (which apparently is a BL but that's not what I'm watching it for XD NEED MORE HIYORI).

Probably XD Storytelling-wise, the second is superior by far over the first. And the relationship between Gii and Takumi felt more real. Maybe it also has to do with Mao and Daisuke being totally comfortable with each other whereas the movie was the first time Keisuke and Tomo ever even met? IDK. Bonus Takiguchi acting like Mao's mom at every opportunity - movie, Making Of, movie commentary, the talk events, and magazine interviews XDDDD

Akaike has always been my favorite, in this arc of the series it's Morita. Too bad he never shows up ever again *sadface*

Meh, I was mostly poking fun at the idea of a live-action JR (...but apparently people here like the idea? XD;;; erm) -- I loved the anime, but really only the Romantica pairing (Egoist was actually my least favorite, but really only because I don't like tsundere :P They remind me of Silver Pair...which I have a love-hate relationship with) but...don't think I'd want to see it live-action >_>;

Ahahahahah... I think Takumi-kun Series is about as cheesy as BL movie gets, but I adore Tomo and Mao-chan, so I watched the movies mainly for their cuteness factor. 8D;; And sure, I love me some angst in my BL (completely different from you there) but when the angst feels cheesy, I just kinda sort of face palms at the screen. ♥ (The whole meaning about the rainbow colored glass made me choke up just a little though. ;.; )

What I would like to see in Live Action... Yami no Matsuei, hands down. 8D This day and age they could probably pull the magic off with CG anyway. But I doubt that would ever happen. ;_;
