I'M COMING HOME!

...for a little while :D Yes, Americans, mark your calendars: I'll be back on sovereign land from December 19th to January 5th, ready for lots of fatty fast foods and not even looking at a grain of rice for two weeks XD

I'll be flying into Shreveport directly, which is awesome, as the local airport's only something like 20 minutes from the house, YAY. I will be quite pooped when I arrive, but who cares! Now I just have to figure out what I want my first meal back to be...

Tomorrow is hanging out with the Jens, Bri, and Ai (and others?), and Sunday it's CATS! Unfortunately not the cuddly kind :( Just the singing, dancing, on-stage kind, which are almost as good.

Then work again Monday :P Gosh but the time does fly!

Am finally caught up on Project Runway, and almost caught up on Slayers R (did SS drop subbing it? o_O Now I have to watch the crappy MKV subs...). slidufhsiluehsiuefs LOVE THIS SHOOOOOW ;_;

Is there any gay happening in Antique Bakery yet? I only got up to ep 3 before the Great Loss of Net, and am wondering if it's worth getting back into~

SS dropped it due to legal stuff, yeah. :/

i don't know what the appeal of MKV is...it's stupid and the subs aren't even viewable half the time due to them overlapping.

Do you have a PC? I discovered that this program called Media Player Classic actually plays them perfectly (well, at least my Digimon episodes do) unlike VLC. Though there was some minimal laggage sometimes.

I was really sick of the overlapping too. >_<

I watch most of my anime on CrunchyRoll anyway.

Well, there was also the issue of context, as a little before she told me that I'd been whining at her to come in THIS weekend, and so I immediately jumped on her meaning the next weekend coming up :)

...weeeeell we may have a miscommunication (she said "next weekend" a couple of days ago--I took that to mean the NEXT weekend, aka tomorrow...but I think she meant the one where she has a holiday, the 13-15).

SO POSSIBLY NO BIG GET-TOGETHER. Though I'm still up for hanging out :D

you don't like mkv? o___o; i've been semi-forced to deal with mkv since gg only releases in mkv format XD i admit i used to hate the thing, but now after 40 episodes of it, IT'S PRETTY *__________________*

as long as you get cccp and mpc, you can watch everything :D

Heck no o_O the subs look horrible -- and I'm not about to download yet ANOTHER media player to make them not :/

I can watch it fine, but the subs look sooooo crappy. The video's nothing special, looks the same as it does on all the other formats I guess *shrug*

VLC; softsubs always look like crap :/

Only hardsubs can capture all the nice karaoke features (aaringfantasy is particularly good at it), that's why I'd rather pay a fansub group for a nice hardsub than own softsub DVDs >_>;;

ohhh i heard vlc doesn't work well with mkv, and some subbing groups even make their subs not work with vlc -___- *cough*gg*cough*

i guess it's true for the karaoke features, but since i never really liked the super fancy ones i'm fine with mkv~

I kind of gave up on Antique Bakery around episode 5 or 6... No really good reason, I just wasn't super into it, I guess? I'd been sort of waiting to see if someone would tell me it was worth getting back into too. *looks around* ^_~
