Ittekita~!! Samurai Mode!

First off, I think the most important part of this show was HOW FUCKING HOT DAIKI WAS.
I'm sorry, but I was absolutely bowled over by how much I LOVED Daiki's costume, his hair, his CHARACTER. EVERYTHING. More than anyone else on that stage. FUCK YES. YES.
The show itself, though, I have to say--of all the *pnish* shows I've seen thus far, this was definitely the one I understood the LEAST the first time through. The second time made it a lot clearer, and I hope that with subsequent viewings next weekend it'll all be pretty clear.
The problem? Not that I couldn't get the plot or anything; BUT THAT IT WAS ALL IN THAT SDLIUFHSIDUFHSID SAMURAI SPEECH DDDDD: It was bad enough with Randy. Now EVERYONE TALKS THAT WAY XD;;;;
The story revolves this way. You have the Hanyuu clan and the Ina clan at odds with each other, and the opening scene has the Ina clan having at last been defeated and scattered. The heads of the Ina clan are samurai named Shisui (Wasshi) and Saiga (Daiki), and after a big battle, they flee into the wilderness into exile, leaving Garakusha (Tuti) to be captured in their stead.
The head of the Hanyuu clan, Kenmei (Tecchan), REALLY wants Shisui and Saiga, to make examples of them, and turns to his younger brother Ryoumei (Mizuki), charging him with tracking the two down by the next day. Together with his own samurai follower Tachibana (Eiji), he accepts the task, and convinces the captive Garakusha that he's Ryounosuke, the son of a dango-merchant, and that he needs Garakusha's help to track down Shisui and Saiga so that they can collect the reward and Garakusha can earn his freedom again.
Garakusha/Tuti actually is the main character, but you really don't notice that until the end, and even then it still feels throughout the show that there IS no main character, which I suppose is better than Mizuki being the main character. The costumes were great, though, everyone had wigs on and didn't look HORRIBLE to me, in person.
There was DANCING this time, too! The opening dance was AMAZING--everyone danced together with swords, it was amazingly choreographed. At the end *pnish* danced just the four of them, also amazing XD Unfortunately they didn't come down into the audience this time >_> Bah.
I didn't SEE Nagayan at either show--but friends did spot Tsumura and Nitta at the evening show. Bought the pamphlet and photosets, crappy photos here!

Postcard that comes with the pamphlet.

Daiki in his pamphlet/photoset-wear. These are NOT their costumes, these are them in clothes that evoke a "Japan"-feeling, supposedly. Doesn't seem Japannish to me but, whatever XD;;;

Eiji~

Wasshi~

Tuti (nice coonskin cap XD)

I actually really liked Aniki's pics in the pamphlet *___* He had some cornrows going on, really worked for him XD

...and random tiny!Obama on the cover of Weekly Pia that I bought yesterday. I almost missed him, he's a really small addition to the cover XD;;;;

Date: 2009-03-15 02:26 pm (UTC)1. Who was that guy with strange outfit (straw cape) in the performance?
2. What did Eiji say in 43:08min what did cause that Tuti has come back?
3. Why at the end Daiki has objected killing Tecchan? It looks a bit as if he betrayed Washi and Tuti but then he was siding with them again.

Date: 2009-03-15 10:37 pm (UTC)1) Toraji, a bounty hunter who wants to collect the reward on Saiga and Shisui's heads. (unless you meant who is the actor, in which case Sueyoshi Kazuya from BuriMyu :P)
2) He told him that he "has his fate in his hands"--meaning he holds the power of whether Tuti lives or dies, because he secretly poisoned the wine Tuti drank in teh beginning, and only he has the antidote.
3) He stopped them from killing Tecchan because he realized it was a trap--if they killed him then, they would be surrounded by soldiers, arrested, and executed. They had to rethink their plan.
