This reminds me of all the shit Nagayan had to go through when he replaced Ichitarou :/

Granted, it's not the same--the new Atobe SEEMS to kind of have brought this upon himself by doing those things in the first place (he's too young to smoke or rent a love hotel), but seriously--bringing his girlfriend into the picture? Sheesh.

It just kinda makes me remember how it absolutely crushed Nagayan seeing all the people furious at Ichitarou being replaced by him, and all the hurtful comments about his acting, and now hardly anyone says they prefer Ichitaroh to Nagayan (also, Ichitarou only had one musical behind him; Kazuki has had MANY more and amassed a lovely rabid fanbase).

I dunno, I just feel bad for this guy that he's going to have to put up with that, even if I kinda feel the same, "GO AWAY YOU WILL NEVER BE KATOBE RARGH" towards him >_>

Man, this guy is gonna have a hard time with the fans, that's for sure :S Not only is he replacing KATOBE, he's kissing a girl and renting a love hotel. I don't see that sitting well with the majority of Japanese fangirls... XD;;;;

Like Reg said, his drinking and smoking and going to love hotels... It wouldn't matter so much if [1] he didn't broadcast it all over the internet, and [2] he wasn't underage. I guess that's my biggest beef with it. I love Kazuki to bits and pieces, but I never really liked Hyoutei [/understatement of the era] so I really can't care less who plays whom. However, when somebody who's in a good position to boost a future career (we can't deny that TeniMyu has been highly beneficial for a lot of the actors) goes and does THIS, especially since he has some pretty huge shoes to fill, well. That does not sit well with me. At all.

So while I kinda pity him that he already has so much shit waiting to be slung at him by rabid fangirls way before he even gets onto the stage, I'm more frustrated than sorry because he brought this all upon himself.

I kind of could go either way with this one, seeing as though he appears unabashed with his deeds, which comes as a rather contrasting dash compared to Nagayan's modesty.

I still remember coming across a site last year and the maintainer was anti-Nagayan for Tenimyu, though X_x

i think he'll need a long time to get a place with the fangirls after this incident.. there's quite a lot of bad comments about him on the chinese forums, saying things like they want to see how badly the ticket sales goes etc etc. and there's a lot of pressure this time on the cast because of the overseas segment too :x

I wonder why it has to happen every single time. Girls are scary. The funny thing is after a while, they will gradually get used to, and eventually crazy over that very same guy they used to bash. Nagayan is such an example. Nowadays, hardly anyone ever mention Ichitarou anymore...

With Ichitarou, though, he was only in one musical (two really, but then Nagayan was in that as well, and Ichi wasn't SUPPOSED to be in it technically) before the cast change, so fangirls didn't have as much time to get attached to him, plus TeniMyu wasn't anywhere near SUPER popular, so neither was he.

Kazuki, though, was playing one of the most popular characters of all time, at a point when TeniMyu WAS super popular, and played that character for 3 (4?) musicals--he IS Atobe, and I really don't think this guy's even going to have the time to fix everything that he's already done to ruin his own image.

I wonder what the heck MMV was THINKING when they cast a guy like this in such a high-profile role o_O

Actually I was wondering the same thing... I mean that kid and Atobe Keigo-SAMA, does not seem fit at all!

You are right, the situations between Nagayan and him are completely different, I should not have compared... But somehow I got the feeling that kid will be fine eventually, because Tenimyu is such a place of ridiculousness. For instance, I can never understand why 2nd gen Seigaku was loved >___>
