fencer_xMmm, yes this is me being obsessive again and noticing things no one really cares about and truthfully don't really matter THAT much, but...
Take a trip with me back to June 30, 2003. According to the TeniMyu diaries, Tuti was one of the first ones to make it to the photoshoot to be held that day--a rare occurance indeed (最初に来たのは、大石役の土屋くんと池田役の構井くん.)
Shortly after these first two arrived, four others arrived together: Kimeru, Morimoto Ryouji, Nagayama Takashi, and Goumoto Naoya. Moriyama Eiji arrived later, after having made a mistake in getting to the right studio, and received a scolding from Kimeru.
This has been recorded in the TeniMyu diaries for years now. However, last summer, Tuti and Nagayan did an interview together in preparation for their show Aru Hi, Bokura wa Yume no Naka de Deau. In it, they were asked the following question, and replied as follows:
>>The two of you first performed together in 2003's "Musical Prince of Tennis;" do you remember your first impressions of each other?
Tuti: Uwaah, so that's how this talk's gonna be? This sounds kinda fun. Hmm, yeah, let's see...the first time we met...
Nagayan: It was at the photoshoot for the flier. Tuti came in a little late with (Moriyama) Eiji-san, and immediately started getting really excited talking with the other cast members about something I couldn't understand at all in this HUGE voice, and I was like, "Uwaah, what the hell is this guy?" (haha) "Are all actors like this?"
Tuti: Yup, that sounds right. (haha)
Nagayan: As for me, I didn't know at all whether or not I was still going to continue on with stage work after this, and on top of that I was nervous coming into this company in the middle of everything for my first show. Truthfully, at that point I was just worried about just greeting everyone.
Tuti: The flier photoshoot huh...
Nagayan: You don't remember, do you?
Tuti: No, I remember doing the photoshoot itself, but as for my first impression of you--I was also kinda confused, like, "So, how should I communicate with this guy?" Since we were playing doubles I wanted to hurry up and get close to him, but it was like, because our characters were so close I was really being careful with how I behaved around him.
See Nagayan's comment there? "Tuti came in a little late with (Moriyama) Eiji-san". I dunno why, but it bothers me :/ Tuti wasn't late that day--he remembers being nervous around Nagayan and Morimoto at first, as is noted in the diary as well (which was resolved when Nagayan started singing and Tuti joined in with him). We have three reports, and only two agree.
Did Nagayan just not remember that well really, assume Tuti had been late that day (or remember at least that Eiji had been late), and know Tuti wouldn't remember the truth anyways so it didn't matter that much?

Date: 2008-02-19 11:59 am (UTC)He's so close to the girl side already !Here's how I see it : Tuti's here early = woke up early = omg nervous. He wants to pay attention as to how he behaves next to Nagayan, so with an enormous effort, he's quiet all along.
THEN Eiji arrives; he can't help but tease him for being late and he's relieved to see one of his best pals.
That's when Nagayan notices there's a tall guy with a loud voice in the same room. He comes to them, go "hey you two just arrived hi I'm Nagayama Takashi nice to meet you I'm gay too by the way", and because it would be embarrassing otherwise, Tuti goes "HAHAH I JUST ARRIVED INDEED."
