Takahashi Isawo was the writer of the original Aru Hi, Bokura wa Yume no Naka de Deau. He's the leader of the theatre troupe Gekidan Shouma, which puts on original plays, kind of like *pnish*. They were really popular in the late 80s and 90s, but seem to have waned more of late.
I was browsing their website here for no real reason--trying to see if there was any info on the original Aru Hi script (I'm ordering the "theater book" from Amazon hoping it'll turn out to be a script XD) and got to viewing the members list.
One name stuck out, Takahashi Masakazu, because I thought he might be a brother or something. I browsed his profile...and saw he'd done some work with BQMAP.
For those of you who don't remember, BQMAP is the theatre group Tuti was with before *pnish* (for a few years, actually--he was a fairly regular performer in their plays until he left for *pnish*). I looked at the plays Takahashi Masakazu had listed he'd done with them, but didn't see Tuti's name on the list--and for good reason, it was back in 2001, when he'd already left the group.
On a whim, I checked a few other plays from before then, around '99 and 2000.

Tuti worked with members of Takahashi Isawo's theatre troupe seven years before he put on his own version of their play, with Takahashi Isawo himself overseeing it. Could he really have wanted to do this show for the past 7 years and was just waiting for the right time? Or did he want to do a show with Nagayan first and this came to mind?
ETA: Duuuuude, BQMAP needed volunteers in December to help out with their next show. Requirements included 18+ age and free time enough to come to the rehearsal hall and theater to help, no experience necessary.
DUDE. It's only BQMAP, and all the people I have any interest in that belong to it are Usui and Bana from BuriMyu and Kitty Guys. But DUDE. I could have been working with those guys! Granted, you know, they probably don't need foreigners, and I kinda don't live in Tokyo, but STILL! THE POSSIBILITY WAS THERE!
...I'm gonna start paying more attention to their site, I think >_> Hmph.

fated???
but then again, as cheesy and corny this sounds, things were at the right place at the right time WITH the right people (or person...hehe)
::ifyou don't mind me asking, what's BQMAP's website? my friend in sapporo like kurihara-san SO MUCH that she really wants to be near him, work for him (she said she doesn't mind just doing his laundry). maybe being a volunteer might save her from insanity.
