It's like God WANTS me to go see *pnish*

Yesterday I went to Otsu to get my reentry permit (the one I need to get BACK into Japan, since my landing permit won't do me any good anymore) with daiki_dansu. We originally were going to go Saturday, but surprise surprise, in the land of endless convenient opening and closing times, the Immigration Bureau was closed on weekends.

SO we had to use one of our precious nenkyuu (paid leave) days to make the boring, time-consuming trip to wait in the lobby for a couple of hours before we got called up. 5000 yen later, I'm good to leave and come back for Christmas, woohoo!

The worst thing about it all, though, was the horrible weather. It rained all weekend, and while it let up enough for me to bike TO the station, it was coming down again when I got back.

Every Monday at 3 PM, our Board of Education has a meeting with us to keep us informed of stuff. I made it back in time for the meeting, and could have gone, but 1) I had nenkyuu, and was thus excused from the meeting, and 2) I was soaked and freezing, no way was I going XD If I'd been dry, I would've gone probably, because I felt guilty. But instead I walked my bike back home.

That evening (yesterday) I got the awesome email from *pnish* about the taping of their show and applied to get in, which I hopefully will get. I'm ticked it's on a TUESDAY :P but what can ya do?

I got a call from my BoE today at school, to tell me what I missed at the meeting. Apparently the 11, 13, and 14th of December, there's a Kindergarten Visit for all the ALTs. For an hourish in the morning everyone goes to visit a kindergarten class.

...I figured since there were two other days, missing one wouldn't hurt anything, but I know if I'd been at that meeting yesterday I would've said sure in a heartbeat (cause sdlfhsdfs little kids I can handle 8D) and been REALLY bummed about this NaiPani taping XD

It definitely appears to be the easiest route, but not the only one. Signup is free, though, but I'm not sure if you have to own SkyPerfect TV to do it. Worth checking out. Here's what general people need to do (this was the Pani Mail Magazine, you can sign up for it on the *pnish* site)

If you sign up through the NaiPani club, EVERYONE automatically gets in until it's full (at which point it will revert to lottery). If you choose the non-FC way, you can only go if your postcard gets drawn in the lottery (so NaiPani club = almost definitely going, general way = random chance).
