As you know, today is one of those sacred holidays in Tuti/Nagayan fandom--it's NOVEMBER 4TH.

What's special about November 4th? Dunno really...but stuff HAPPENS. Stuff like Tuti taking pictures of Nagayan wearing his clothes, stuff like Nagayan spending the NIGHT at Tuti's. Stuff like them just being together and taking pics for the hell of it. STUFF.

Today is November 4, 2007. It is the fourth time there was BEEN a "November 4th" (third, if you take into account the fact that we don't have any record of what happened in 2003). 2004 brought us adorable images like the ones seen here. 2005 brought us sleepovers and clothes-trading here. 2006 brought us a TeniMyu reunion, but was otherwise pretty uneventful, unfortunately (note that a lot of this is stuff that goes on AROUND November 4th, as well as actually ON it).

This year...this year I realized something.

We've always thought November 4th (or at least that first week in November) meant something special to the guys, for some strange reason we couldn't fathom (or fathomed, but were never privy to).

But it's not. November 4th probably doesn't mean much of anything to them...

It's simply a very, VERY special time of year. For us. For Tuti/Nagayan fans. We have made it special, and it now works like a ring coming back to us and giving US "presents." It's almost like the boys themselves are making this special for us without even know it.

I say this because of what happened to me today. As many of you know, today was the senshuuraku, the very last show, for Nagayan's play Switch wo Osu Toki, a play that's proven itself very important to him, and for good reason. It's a really moving, really think-y play, and an all-around amazing performance on Nagayan's part as the lead.

I saw it last week already, but as I was in Tokyo again for Wasshi's (*pnish*'s Washio Noboru) live already, I wanted to be a part of fandom history: the only person in fandom to go to not only the senshuuraku of possibly Nagayan's most important performance to date but one on NOVEMBER 4TH, that sacred fandom holiday. Would Tuti come? Would we finally have proof that he DOES value Nagayan as a fellow actor and not just a hot piece of ass?

Kitty Guys (the group made up of the backup dancers from BuriMyu) had another streetlive this morning, so I went to it and then hurried over to the New National Theater, arriving about an hour early. I actually ran into a group of 3 girls on the train there who had Decossam bags, and we had fun chatting for a few minutes. Arriving at the theater itself, though...I was not very happy.

Toujitsuken (tickets sold at the door the day of a play) are never fun to get--you usually have to stand in a long line and get bad seats, but it's good if you're desperate. Unfortunately, I was desperate, and today was not my lucky day. Unlike with *pnish* performances previously, toujitsuken were very few in number, and were being given out on a number lottery basis.

I randomly asked the nearest girl to me if she knew what to do about toujitsuken and getting tickets at the door, and she--while not knowing much--went out of her way to go up to the desk for me and ask, getting a complete run down on everything I needed to do. Complete, total stranger.

Then, she pulled from her purse a small card with a number and a stamp on it--it was a card for toujitsuken. She handed it to me and told me to take it, her friend was picking up their tickets at the desk. Why she had this when she was already getting tickets was beyond me, but I took it, thanking her over and over. From a total stranger I was now in the running for a ticket, through no work of my own.

Twenty minutes before the show started, the receptionist put up a sign stating which order the numbers would be called in to receive tickets. Of the 60 or so that were given out, mine was one of the 20 that were drawn.

Unfortunately, I was still 13th or so, and we could only still get tickets if people canceled their own reservations. The likelihood of 13 people cancelling this close to showtime? Not high. The receptionist called everyone forward, gave the first 5 people their tickets, and told everyone else they could leave, because they probably weren't going to get in.

So everyone did, except for a few people waiting on friends still, and me. I decided that I would at least wait until a few minutes after the show started to see if any "late comers" with large foreheads and Decossam bags decidede to try and sneak in at the last minute ♥

As showtime came around, it was down to myself and one other girl, who was the last to get a ticket. I went up to the counter to make sure it was impossible to get in, and the girl getting her ticket asked if I was there for toujitsuken as well. She really hoped she got in, and told me not to give up.

The receptionist took up the remaining ticets in her hand and looked at me. "...Are you number 42?"

Yes, I was.

She handed me a ticket and told me to enjoy the show.

I was the last, final person to get a ticket that day. Through pure, unadulterated LUCK. Or fate, or SOMETHING.

What are the odds that I would arrive in that theater at that point in time, pick the one person out of the crowd who would give me a numbered card they should NOT have had in the first place, and have it be the very last number to be called before the show started?

Please, tell me, because I'm starting to jump to conclusions now.

It feels like, to me...that all this amazing stuff happens for US. For the fandom, like...a present. Yeah, I think in the end it's just a fun series of coincidences that fall on just the right date...

...but how many coincidences does it take before something's a little too coincidental? ^_~

THAT IS AMAZING.

I really don't know anyone luckier than you.

This is the TxN-verse's way of thanking you for supporting them for so long now.

That was made of awesome. You're so lucky ^..^
And I don't believe in coincidences, so I have a feeling November 4 is just your our lucky day every year.

Did you get a decent seat from the special ticket? (And I take it there were no tuti sightings?)

Ah, you´re such a lucky girl and I really love your idea of November, 4th being a special date for us fans ^__^ Since it is over soon here, I will enjoy the evening with much thinking about this fandom and how I love it and how I wish every fangirl will one day be as lucky as you ^_~

I've said this before.

I'll say it once again.

You have the best luck of any person I know on the face of this planet. The absolutel best luck. Seriously.

Maybe it does have to do with the fandom, or maybe it was that voodoo priest some ancestor of yours did favors for.

OMG!
I wanted to have half of the luck that you have.
Today couldn´t be especial for TutixNagayan but for us will always be especial.
Everything could be just a coincidence but don´t you think that is a LOT of coincidences??
Well.. if it is, I hope the coincidences still continue for a long long time.

Wow, I really glad you got in.
I don't think its luck. Maybe Karma or something. I always enjoy the little Nov. 4th 'gifts' for the fandom even more 'cause its my birthday. I was hoping for something to happen and Im glad something did.

Now that's a lucky day, just like the day those two had a couple of years before. :)
