Did I forget to mention...
10 October 2007 09:45 am...that I got kicked off the shinkansen on the way back from Tokyo Monday?? 8DDDD
Because I'm that much of a winrar! Okay, so I wasn't so much kicked off as asked kindly to disembark at the next station XD
Cheapskate that I am, I bought discount Shinkansen tickets in Hikone--depending on where you're going, the discount varies, but in my case (Maibara to Tokyo) it was about 1000yen difference, enough for me. There was a small catch though: you can only ride the Hikari and Kodama trains (the slower ones) and not the Nozomi (the fastest). Since I usually catch the Hikari going up from Maibara, this wasn't a big deal to me (especially since no Nozomis leave Maibara because Maibara isn't a stop on the Nozomi line).
I actually cheated going up to Tokyo and took a Hikari to Nagoya where I switched over to a faster Nozomi going to Tokyo. I didn't REALIZE I'd gotten onto a no-no train, but it didn't seem to matter, and I got to Tokyo, no muss no fuss.
Coming back, though, I was impatient and decided to take another Nozomi back to Nagoya, and from there hop a Kodama or Hikari to Maibara.
Just my luck that this go-round they decided to check tickets XD
I, of course, excellently played the dumb-foreigner card :DDDDD I was only as far as Shin-Yokohama by then, and they asked me to just get off and change to a Hikari or Kodama, and that was all XD Kind of embarrassing, but I wasn't the only one, so nyaaa :D
Note to self: in future do not try and ride the Nozomi from Tokyo unless you pay for it 8DDDDD
In other news: Eiji went to see Shounen Onmyouji Myu too?! Just our luck he goes on senshuuraku :P
