14 May 2007 10:49 amSo apparently Tuti went to Omotesandou Hills again 8DDDDD He mentions seeing Yuzawa Kouichirou there (crossdressed as an ON5 guest, mostly remembered as Spencer in Wonder Box), but nothing more :D We'll have to see what Nagayan posts about in the next couple of days XD
Yesterday was Mother's Day, and like most people I went out to eat with my mother. My brother, who also graduated from high school yesterday, managed to make it one of the worst Mother's Days ever for her, good job. With neglecting to ask for work off and making it hard to get everyone together for lunch, then forgetting his cap and tassel for the ceremony and having us rush to get it to him, and then AFTER the ceremony turning in his gown early so that we couldn't get pictures of him in it? I'm sure she had a great day. Sometimes I just want to hit him and tell him to get a clue--he's EIGHTEEN for crying out loud.
-_- anyways.
Today I'm going to run up to my old high school and say hi to the teachers I'll probably not see again for a veerrrrry long time. I'm making plans to start up a fic binder like
nacchi_camui, so I'll hit up Office Depot as well. Saturday I'm going to Scarborough Faire with Brandy, should be a very good time XD We go every year and dress up and have a blast~ Pictures will, of course, be forthcoming.
Also--the girl whose site I raided for pictures in the previous post? Writes a LOT of fics (and almost all exclusively T/N). I'm going through them and getting the good ones to translate XDDDDD She's even got one that is kind of angsty, with Tuti and Nagayan in kind of an empty, sex-only relationship, and Tatsuya finds out about it and tries to get Nagayan for himself because he's had a crush on Nagayan for a long time, so there's all this, "I'd never treat you like that, Nagayama-san!" and stuff that makes you wtf XDDDD Tatsuya having feelings for Nagayan? Uuuuhhhhh....WRONG HALF OF T/N TO HAVE A CRUSH ON THERE TACCHAN.
In going through all my books, I think I'm going to reread the first of this Carol Berg trilogy I have, Transformation. I bought it a couple of years ago when I exiled myself to California for summer 2005 :P It was very good (though just slashy enough to make me hate it for no resolution XD), and very deep, involved writing. If anyone's looking for a good fantasy, heavy-hinting slashy read, I definitely recommend this--should have it at your nearest B&N or Borders :D
Ok, off to get dressed and deposit money~!! Bri says my doujinshi are on their way, chick from Mixi is sending me a "present," and I hope to god Mitsuru got the $120 money-order I sent her over a week ago >_> No pressure _o_
Ah yes, one more thing:

That series is so freaking good. I love all of her books, but oh... Zander and Seyonne are so cute. X3~ Transformation is probably the best of the trilogy, IMO, but the other two are still really good. It made me sad that she had them all paired up with women, but I don't see how anyone could miss the slashy undertones, and then the women are always portrayed as more friends and companions than lovers.... and... gah. XD But yes. I highly HIGHLY reccommend her other books, too! I love her writing, and I'm actually going to go pick up her new book today! :D "Flesh and Spirit", I think.
If you get a chance, try her other series? The Bridge of D'Arnath arc has less of the slashy subtext since it focuses a lot on the relationship of two of the main characters who are male and female, but the way she works the plot gives it a very lgbt-friendly feel... if that makes any sense. ^^; Her world-building gets a little more fantastical, too, and her characters are much more fleshed out there than the ones in the Rai-Kirah trilogy. :3
