Well, finally got my computer fixed--that's the good news.
The bad news: I had to have my main harddrive (the one with my OS and all my programs on it) completely wiped >_> I still have my backup harddrive with all my media and crap, but I lost all my Adobe programs (including photoshop CS2 ;_; but luckily I still have the installer for that XD) and a bunch of stuff that was in my My Documents folder (all my wallpapers, textures I'd collected over months, brushes I used for PS that I have NO idea where they came from now, all kinds of great stuff T___T
It's definitely going to be tough rebuilding what I had, but nngh, no choice ;_; It did give me the opportunity, though, to revamp my Visual Style (mmmm, Vista Inspirant *drools*) and upgrade to IE7--which I actually really like XD It's so pretty, and I think I've gotten used to the tabs, though I'll never be able to kick my alt+tab habit entirely ♥
I've got my first SI session in 2 hours, and then Conversation Table tonight at Coffee Station at 8 PM eeeee XDD SO EXCITED. YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND.
And I got another email from Toshi, the chick who I'm helping with English via email--SHE'S SUCH A FLATTERER, CHECK IT:

Of course, that's the second time she's asked me am I SURE I'm an American, because my Japanese is so zomg good--which makes me wonder what kind of sick twisted image do the Japanese have of Americans/foreigners learning their language? XDDDD
American: "Umm, soomeemuh-sen..."
Japanese: "SDKFJGSHSSDF;OI YOU SPEAKUH MAH RANGUAGE?? HELLO HOW ARE YOU NICE TO MEET TODAY!"
