22 January 2007 02:29 pmYou know, somehow it never hit me how close Tuti and Daiki must be. Maybe because you never really see just THEM interacting in video or anything (or, you know, I always focus on Eiji and Daiki 8DDDD), but...I dunno, it just hit me.
They roomed together in Taiwan. Tuti's said that if he had to be roomies with one of the other guys, it'd be Daiki. They're all the time playing pranks on each other, and Tuti seems to...I dunno, really be able to play Daiki like a fine instrument. He can smoothly navigate Leader Mode without batting an eye, and knows exactly how to make the guy revert to his usual genki self.
And last year, as an apology for being such an ass cause he'd been busy with rehearsals and all, who was it who took Daiki out by himself for karaoke and a birthday dinner? Not Eiji--Tuti. Who was it who did the same thing this year just now? Tuti Tuti Tuti.

He calls Daiki a "ki no au nakama"--a friend he can really synch with, who he really gets along with easily.
I dunno why it never really hit me, but...they're really good friends o_o It makes me really curious, too...like, how they met, and if it's just them--I mean, it FEELS like they have a friendship that's really different from Tuti's and Eiji's or Eiji's and Daiki's, but I can't pin any definite reason, really. They didn't grow up together, they don't have any real history together beyond *pnish* that I know of, so...
Meh, I hate noticing things late _o_

Date: 2007-01-22 09:29 pm (UTC)"ki no au nakama" -- That's really cute. ♥
I think I've said it before when I was thinking about the two of them, but I'm thinking it again now, after reading this -- Tuti and Daiki seem like they have kind of a brotherly thing going on. I don't really know how to better explain it...but they seem to get along a lot like my two older brothers do. ♥

Date: 2008-05-09 09:25 pm (UTC)It's something I've started to think about a lot lately too and I really need to discuss it. Because you know it's always about Eiji and Daiki (totally nothing wrong with that! xD) or if it's about friendship it's Tuti and Eiji. And somehow no one really discusses them or thinks about them and somehow I really feel that they are so close and have a very special bond, a very special kind of friendship, something that I'm really fond of. And it intrugues me to no end.

Date: 2008-05-12 04:20 am (UTC)These guys all have such complex, but very DIFFERENT relationships, and no one's relationship is like their relationship with someone else, it's amazing seeing it.
They're the youngest, and even though they haven't known each other the longest, and are neither one's best friend, they really do have a special relationship ♥ It struck me so much when Tuti took Daiki out for his birthday as an apology, when I wrote this, because it showed he very much values this relationship, this friendship. If he was just concerned with keeping it cool at work, he could apologize and maybe bring some kind of make-up present. But this went above and beyond a simple "work relationship" apology. And that says a lot.
