So, what I learned from Johnson-sensei yesterday:
If you're not familiar with A&M history (and yeah, most of you aren't XD) you might not know that before mid 20th century (the school was founded in 1868) it was an all-male military academy. All male. As in no wimmins. So they'd periodically send a train to Brian for female company for the dances they had from time to time.
Sometimes, of course, there weren't enough gals to go around. And when such a situation arose, what did they do?
Why, made the freshmen cadets dress up as girls.
Oh Texas....
ALSO. lsadkfjshldkfjsdf so, I had to bring something I wrote to conversation, and read it to her and have her correct it. George-sensei told us the topic could be anything, so feeling lazy, I printed out one of my Japanese blog entries--one I'd written after seeing The Lake House where I talked about how nice it is watching two actors who have good chemistry in performances together (coughcough). That led to us discussing who my favorite actor was--because she thought it might be Keanu Reeves from the entry. I quickly corrected her saying that, if we're talking ANY actor in the world, it would be Mr. Tsuchiya Yuuichi of COURSE (read: excuse to talk about *pnish*), and that was an excellent entry into fangirling *pnish*, which I did at length.
She first asked me if Tuti was a Johnny's boy. SHE KNOWS JOHHNYS. WLERJFHSBFLJSD I told her no--but that another guy in the stage group he's in has a brother who was a Johnny's boy! So I told her everyone's names, and the name of the group, and then...she said she was going to look them up that evening saldfksjdfhlsifjse cause she wanted to see what kind of stuff I was into XDDDDDDDDDDD
Who's bringing On4 to let her borrow next week? Who? Oh yes, that would be me ♥
