Work was all kinds of boring, and my feet hurt, but what else is new? ♥ I'm sad, though, because the girl I got along best with (i.e. she was such an awesome chick, we talked all the time XD) is going to Ohio for a weekish and won't be back before I stop working, but I'm going back up to tell everyone goodbye, I promised, so I'll get to see her again before I leave ♥ Plus she and I will be, like, the only competent floor employees there at Christmas, YAY

Sitting in the breakroom waiting to go home, though, we had a FUN convo. We started talking about what my life is going to be like (she 'forecast' my future XD which involved me marrided to a Japanese guy of course) and then that led to discussions on Asian men in general, and that led to my explaining what is attractive about Japanese guys that I've seen, and then she commented that what she heard from friends of friends was that Japanese guys are generally more femenine, that that's what's considered attractive over there, so I jumped all over that XDDDDD

...and told her about Johnnys boys XD

It was hilarious, cause she found it so fascinating, that they actually TRY to seem gay, that it brings in more profits the more questionable the band members' relationships are with each other (and she's super open-minded, it was great XD), and we talked about how that would NEVER fly here in the way that it does in Japan. In Japan, questionable sexuality is all the rage among boybands and such, but here it's not the same. N'Sync and the Backstreet Boys never acted slashy on stage expecting it to up their concert attendance, but Kanjani 8 and Arashi and all those guys thrive on the gay mystique.

Then we talked about why it was so popular, and how the Japanese culture on the whole wouldn't seem like they'd accept that at all, and yet they do. I told her about their conforming education system, how identity is suppressed in many ways, the group mentality thing, and how nowadays some try and break free and are still met with hostility for it. I told her about Tuti's smoking post, the responses he was met with, and how actors blogging in general in Japan, even if they're not THAT famous, still must watch what they say or risk losing a large number of fans, just because Japan's that way.

Of course we eventually got around to Takashi ♥ she was almost hyperventilating from laughter at some of the stories XDDDDD GAWD I MISS DAT BOY!

Mary's so COOL. I want to be her when I grow up. Except that she's only, like, 3 days older than me XDDDDDD

OHOHOHOHOH!!

So, this is eerie, all right? I was straightening up part of the store before closing, specifically the art section, with posters and prints and such. And I'm getting them all in nice orderly rows, everything's looking good, when one little print catches my eye--it's got a quote on it. I read the quote:

"We do not remember days, we remember moments."

.......................

.......................................................

Remember the layout of [livejournal.com profile] tutixnagayan? ....Yeah, that was a quote I selected from a big list and had LONG forgotten where I'd seen it.

And there it was, staring me in the face on an art print rack in World Market.

...What? Of course I bought the sucker! IT WAS FATE!

Also, the day would not be complete without some more AWESOME CRACK from Lamb:

"[Gaspar] and two of the older monks who had been soldiers devsed for Joshua a regimen of weaponless fighting that involved no offense or striking at all, but instead channeled the energy of an attacker away from oneself. Since te new art was practiced only by Joshua (and sometimes myself), the monks called it Jew-do, meaning the way of the Jew."

Here I was, staring at my lovely layout (which is by the amazing you, so *worship*), and I was wondering where you'd gotten those lines. I really really like them and someday might use them in a fic (for an entirely different fandom). ^_^

Then your entry comes along.

ARASHI = NINOMIYA/OHNO LOVE. ^_______^

"We do not remember days, we remember moments." - So where is that quote from? I honestly thought you had made it up! ^_~ Is it just one of those random quotes, or is it someone famous? Anyway. That is eerie. XD And cool. I'm glad you bought it. XD

OMG TUTI T__________________T!!
That entry is amazing!! It's so beautiful how he just let it all out.. I felt it ;_;
I mean, even if he hears the words 'your image' etc from people like management or critics.. I don't think he should be hearing it from his fans who are supposed to love him & his art and backing him up.. Poor Tuti must've felt like he was attacked while he was just sharing his feelings ._. It's like he can't be himself anywhere T_T

But like you said, every part of the world sees things differently.. Good luck, Tuti ;_;/

Thank you!! m(_ _)m I'm learning so much from your entries! Ja, Yoroshiku XD; *friends*
