Old news is good news~

I had a nice emo post I was gonna make, but then
kooriyoukai distracted me with old TeniMyu blog surfing, so instead I bring you GOODNESS FROM AUGUST 2003!!
Here are just a few excerpts I translated from various reports of the August 8, 2003 TeniMyu performance (the one with Nagayan as Eiji). Oh DEAR does this make me suspicious >DDDDD Please note that parts set off in brackets are from SEPARATE reports. There are a few different ones in here, but many of them write about the same scenes, so you get different POVs, and yet it's still surprising how much they really agree on XDDDD
**テニミュ追加公演 06/08/08 - TeniMyu Tsuika Kouen (Tenimyu Extra Performance)**
[During the song (from the opening of act 2), the Regulars appeared in their own scenes. Taka-san carrying a sushi bucket, Momo-chan riding on his bike, Inui-san drinking his juice and swaying unsteadily. Among these, also, Eiji came out on stage holding his shoes in both hands. After moving around a bit, he sat down at the edge of the stage. Upon doing so, Oishi-san sat right next to him and clapped his shoulder.]
[In the scene where all the regulars are practicing, Oishi would always ad-lib after he did his lob. This time, the ad-lib went⇒(afternoon) "Why are you always wearing short pants?" to Kaidoh, and (evening) "Ah-un no kokyuu~!" with Eiji! I get the feeling that this time there were more Golden Pair parts than last time.]
[And it was loaded with TeniPuri's famed fanservice~!
Kikumaru sat down on the stage near the audience, and you could hear a "kyaaa!" of joy from the audience.
Then next to him came Oishi, and sat down RIGHT beside him, and another "kyaaa!" of joy arose.]
Note: BOTH of those above, from completely separate girls, use the word "ぴったり" to describe how close Tuti was sitting to Nagayan. Pittari is a word I usually associate with how someone looks like somone else, or how something fits--very well, almost exactly the same, that kind of thing. In short, PERFECT. In this sense, then, the only way Tuti could have been sitting any closer to Nagayan means he would've had to have been sitting in the boy's LAP.
Also--Check out the lovely illustrations here.
This report has some WONDERFUL notes:
[If the first performance's OoKiku was Level 1, then this performance's was level 50!
I'd heard from someone before that there was OoKiku this time, so I was really expecting it, but this was more than I could have ever imagined!
Watching it, I felt like my heart was beating through my chest!
During the first scene, Oishi would hit the ball, and the other Regulars would hit it back in a prescribed order.
Fuji and Momo went, and then Kikumaru's turn came, and he called out, "Eiji"...huh? Wait, was that line in it last time?
Oishi: "Ah--"
Eiji: "Un!"
He'd slipped into that part of Kikumaru's song!
Then, something even more amazing happened. At the beginning of the second act, Fuji sings and in the back the Seigaku members act out their day-to-day lives (Taka-san on a delivery, Momo on his bike, Tezuka getting his arm treated, that kind of thing), but Kikumaru walked in carrying his shoes. I'm betting those were the "Oishi~loan me 80 yen! Loan me 80 yen!" sneakers. He came to the front of the stage, and then sat down, then tried to put them on. Then Oishi approached from behind, and sat down beside him. The two leaned into each other, then faced each other and smiled.
And on top of that--they were really REALLY close to each other! (That's not the distance friends keep between themselves!) Why was that?! The first time had almost none, but this performance was PACKED with OoKiku!]

Date: 2006-05-30 06:07 am (UTC)It's nice to FINALLY hear what exactly was happening during that "extra" scene we'd been briefly told about in the rehearsal diaries. Man why hasn't this thing been released on dvd, seriously!
Omg so much love to you though for translating XD I get the feeling this will probably be the extent of what we'll hear about that performance, unless someone talks about differences between things they did during the show on different days (like that report on the St.Ryu shows). I guess tackling Morimoto would be next on the list? :D

Date: 2006-05-30 06:14 am (UTC)And how many 'other' shows were there? Cause all I found reports on was this one August 8th show o_O It's weird that that's the only reported one...
Morimoto has a nice fancy schmancy blog...that only goes back to 2005, yay. So tackling him means tracking down his old blog -_- I'll check that puppy out later though *nodnod*
I'm so squeeing, though, at how everyone goes on about the GP atmosphere being SO different this time--I mean, a level 50 from a level 1? Oh HELL yes ♥ Solid PROOF that there was some definite chemistry there XD

Date: 2006-05-30 06:23 am (UTC)And huh, weird, let me look...
Second Showing: Tokyo: August 7-8, 2003 | Osaka: August 13-15, 2003
That's the info on that show. Wow I'd never noticed that it only actually ran for 5 days XD; All that for so few shows? Kinda interesting, I wonder why they bothered to do them in the first place then...
