Oh dubs...

PoT Dub is....not good, but not horrible. And by not horrible, I mean there's still plenty of chances for it to dig itself even deeper into a hole than it already has ♥ I'd give it a good 3 episodes, let everyone get their lines in, and then make a decision, personally.

And me, I can't wait for the Hyoutei arc and "Mr. ShuhSHEEdoh! Mr. ShuhSHEEdoh!" GOD WHAT ARE THEY GONNA DO TO MY KANSAI?!

I watched the HikaGo dub afterwards, though. Aside from Hikaru sounding a little too boyish (oh otokoyaku, you have forever spoiled me as far as little boy voices go) and Touya taking a bit of getting used to (AND HIS NAME IS NOT TOY-UH. IT DOES NOT RHYME WITH OSCAR DE LA HOYA.) it wasn't nearly as bad as the PoT dub, really. So not bad that I'd probably watch it some more if I hadn't, like, within the past few weeks gotten on a HikaGo kick and rewatched the series XD Sai's voice is actually really appropriate, I thought. Just girly enough and spazzy enough, if a little melodramatic at time, but then that's Sai~

XD I couldn't drink during the dub it was so bad. My friend's brother said "Hey isn't it suppose to be in japanese?" I think, though, that Ryuzaki-old woman is voiced by Kaede from Inu Yasha, looking at the credits I saw Wendy Lee which means that's Faye's VA (from Cowboy Bepop) I wonder who she is... and why she's with VIZ.

Hikaru no Go felt weird to here, it's been so long so it's not in my head. But... SAAIIII! IT'S QUATRE! (From Gundam Wing) That... seems so WRONG. I didn't see the whole thing but I'm happy with what they did and jealous they kept the opening for them but not PoT.

Oh I meant to comment on that! I was so happy they kept the OP and ED for HikaGo (and pissed they didn't for PoT), since I think HikaGo has my favorite OPs and EDs of any anime series ever ♥

I dunno. Maybe Fuji WILL get a woman's voice? :DDDDD

What they did for PoT was... weird. They used the closing for the opening and opening for the closing! Well... at least they kept the music in between. But I have to agree, I love the HikaGo songs X3

... WOW. I just played Faye's voice in my mind and that COULD work. VERY scary but could. My friend kept saying "Oh god how will Kikumaru sound... how will they do Atobe, MIZUKI will he be a girl?" And another thing, will they use their first name like in the manga. Sadaharu juice just doesn't sound right.

That's why I'd have to give it at least 3 episodes (though maybe the whole first arc really, to give everyone a chance to speak more than 3 lines) before I made a decision on how good or bad it was. Then you can get names, pronunciations, voice characteristics, all that good stuff to decide if it's as bad as you'd feared or not so intolerable.

God I hope they use the normal manga names. I'm still recovering from 'Kunimitsu's Domain' and I don't even READ the English manga >_>;;;

XD I guess I'm bad, I give it the first episode. I'm really nervous to see how they do since they seemed to give every new VA a chance at PoT. Ughh.. Pronunciations, this urks me so bad XD -shudders- Well I like Ryoma's and Momo's... three episodes right?

XD WAIT, WAT DOMAIN!? I stopped at 10 because my friends stopped buying them! -scared now-

It's VIZ where as they've come a logn way they need serious help.

Touya's voice is WAY too manly. What's up with that? I've been ripping the DVDs from Netflix and it's sooooo weird.

Oh god! The dub was AWFUL but awful in the good way. It's awful in the way that I want to see more of it and laugh at it. Oh the badness!

As far as dubs go, it's not that bad at all. Ryuzaki is more annoying than I'd like, but it's managable. I mean, Ryoma will get better, Sakuno won't but I ignore her anyway. I'm more than worried for her little friend, the T-something girl whose name I never bother to remember.

Now I shall watch HnG! I'm totally on a dub kick. Next episode, we get to find out what they call Momo-sempai! Or have the said it? I was at work, so I couldn't watch the whole episode. ^^;;
