Soooooo close!
21 June 2005 07:40 pmTHREE MORE WEEKS!
I think...
So, it's looking like I'll be getting home around the 11th of July, which is a bit sooner than I expected, but not unwelcome! I'm having a great time out here, but I'm ready to get back home and spend some time with my family and friends before I have to trudge back to A&M. I'll be back working at LSU for the remainder of the summer in hopes of recouping some of the financial losses incurred with my little westward excursion here, playing a bit of tennis with
00nani_nani, and relaxing and catching up on all the goodness I missed while away from my preciousssss intarweb.
My "boss," a 26 year old PhD student, is heading home (Salem, New Hampshire) Wednesday the 22nd, and that means I get to spend the next three weeks alone. I'll be going out into the field every four days with her boyfriend who's been a GREAT help to us while we're out here, spending about 9 hours each time in the hot grueling California sun :D I'll probably be booking a flight back the 12th or so.
Will be house-sitting for my uncle the week of the 18th, and hopefully that'll give me a bit of time to relax and get back into the groove of things back home. Suffice to say, it's been a GREAT experience out here, I've learned a lot about what doors are open to me if I pursue this kind of career path (I actually had no idea that 'graduate school' and post-undergrad schools like Med school or Vet school were two different things o_O).
Oh, and
reppu, you don't have to worry about sending CDs now, cause the PO Box will be closed at the end of the month. If you already sent it, CALL ME. Or something. I can't check email and all. Text message if you need to, cause I might not get it if you already sent it. *crosses fingers*
PICTURES SOON, WHORES! I hope you like owls. And kayaks.
