Date: 2005-04-04 04:22 pm (UTC)I recommend Germany, primarily because the weather is nice and cool year round (July 2001, 70 degrees when I was there... score). Then again, with your Southern!Tendencies, I'm sure Italy would be nice for you, considering it barely drops below 80 degrees during the course of the year.
As for retirement, I'd have to relearn, or actually, learn German (since I such so much at it -_-), and then find a nice isolated town there. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to accomplish.
