Sorry to butt in so rudely! I've been trying to join the Gankutsuou commmunity which you moderate for a couple of days now, without much success. Umm...is membership closed?

Hmm, no, membership should be very much open. Are you sure you're clicking the actual 'join community' link and not just friending it? I know I've done that on accident for a few comms--just friended them when I thouoght I'd joined.

If you think you are still doing it right, go here (http://www.livejournal.com/community/join.bml?comm=gankutsuou) and try again, and if it still doesn't work, tell me what it says. For members it gives an error message saying you're already a member, but you're definitely not showing up in the member registrar.
