After the show on Saturday, I happened to catch the conversation the pair next to me were having:

"And the one in blue--he seems like he'd be in *pnish*, but he's actually not!"
"EEEEH?"

I would think his fitting in probably has a lot to do with his exposure to the group since become a fanboy of *pnish* himself. I mean even thinking back to the magazine interview where Daiki states always being present behind the scenes during TeniMyu (and that I still think wt???), but he knows these guys and he knows what buttons he can push, and what he can get away with. He's not just another actor slotted into a characters role but... he essential is one of them... just not officially.
