fencer_xSo, time for the EPIC NagaJo in ASAKUSAAAAA post! I'm leaving this unlocked so everyone can read about the fun times had with Nagayan~
Lucky for me, I live in Tokyo, and Asakusa is a mere 20 min train ride away, as opposed to a 2+ hour train ride, or a 3 hour car ride, etc, like many of the others had to make XD; This let me taaaaake my time in getting all prettified, but of course that was kinda ruined after 10 min outside. Still, I liked putting forth the effort *shrug*
I met up with my lovely group of ladies at Asakusa Shrine about 11 AM. We met in front of the Koban, where I killed some time taking random pics of the very busy entrance:
That's Nakamise-doori, lined with tons of awesome souvenir shops, which we would later raid :D
After all our group was assembled (we all registered together, being friends, and thus were all in a group together -- it's WAY more fun going to these events with friends than alone!) we snuck into a karaoke parlor to "rehearse" before the karaoke part of the event soon to follow XD
We hadn't decided on a musical selection yet, but wound up going with Kimeru's You Got Game :DDDDDD
We also tried out Make You Free...
...and Mou Hitotsu no Chijou XD
We were supposed to meet at the Hanayashiki park entrance at 12:30 PM, so after an hour of karaoke, we headed over and found it pretty easily.
Since we'd all made personalized t-shirts last time (including giving one to Nagayan which he's been seen wearing here), we decided to all wear them again for the picture portion of the event (you always take a group shot with Nagayan in the beginning). It wound up our group was all on the front row, with Nagayan in the middle of us XDDDD Made for a great shot :P
We were assigned group letters, and our group was G. When we went to line up under our letter...erm...we encountered a slight problem :P
A staff member then gave Nami-san from our group a letter to hold, and she became the head of G group :D We also had to draw lots to find out where we'd be sitting at the karaoke event. Ours?
What else but MOMOJIRI 8DDDDD Turned out to be on the very front row, so we had a priiiiiime position XD Lucky~!
For the photo session, we headed up to the roof, and Nagayan took one look at our shirts and then went, "It's you guys! You're wearing your shirts!" and then started babbling to the camera people and poor, long-suffering Tamaoki-san, how he had one too. ADORABLE. During the shoot, it started to sprinkle (because Nagayan is an ameotoko, damn him ;P) and so we took two shots--one with us doing the manekineko pose, and another with our hands together like we were praying for the rain to stop XD
After taking our pic, it was off to Manekineko, the name of the karaoke place! In the lobby, waiting for the elevators, there were signs directing us where to go 8D
The hall was indeed a hall. I'm so used to tiny little karaoke rooms, but this was indeed an event space. 5 long tables wide, with a front and a back set, tons of food out on the table, a stage, front and back big projector screens, and TVs up all around so you could see the lyrics. Plus, on one far wall, there were 5 small rooms you could go in during the event and sing karaoke on your own! GAH.
Before the event started, Tamaoki-san came up on stage and told us how stuff was going to happen, and then suggested a toast. He indicated that there was beer, white wine, and red wine available on a table on the side (at which point many girls went to fill themselves up), and then added that...they were working hard to make Nagayan better able to hold his liquor 8D And then produced a whole pint of beer XDDDDD
Yes, Nagayan had to drink it during the toast, he was told.
The MC for this portion of the event, however, was Suzuki-san, the same chick who'd MC'd the tea party back in April :D It was kinda weird, because when she came on stage, she went out of her way to introduce herself and talk about what her job was in managing Nagayan, and then mentioned Zono-san as well, in an effort to ease the concern of any of the girls who were wondering about...women close to Nagayan, apparently. Almost like they wanted to put them at ease that no, they weren't girlfriends or fiancees or anything, wtf? XDDDD Because yes, that's MY automatic assumption _o_ sheesh.
While everything got set up, they rolled a video of Nagayan going to inspect the park a few weeks back, as usual. Unfortunately, I didn't get to check it out that much, as I was in line for goods XD;
While still in line, however, Nagayan called us all back to do the toast -- we scurried back to our seats, and after a rousing rendition of the school song (kiyoku tadashiku iyarashikuuuu~) we kanpai'd, including Nagayan with his beer XD He managed to finish half of it in one go! GANBARE~! You've a ways to go to keep up with *pnish*, so you'd better work HARD :P
After this, we rushed back to the goods line, and they played more of the video (which included lots of footage of Nagayan on rides and acting like he was 10 :P). By the time we got to the front of the line for goods, however, they'd SOLD OUT. WTF? Why wouldn't you make sure to bring more than enough for people?! Unless someone bought, like, 20 in front of us?? o_O
During this, as well, Nagayan wandered around the audience, commenting on random things, mostly using a...very small bullhorn XD wtf.
Soon, though, it was TIME FOR KARAOKEEEEE! They had Nagayan start off singing a really catchy song, My Sunshine. About halfway through, though, they cut him off XD Nagayan complained profusely, but moved to the next one anyways, Mokuyoubi no Asa. Only a few bars into singing this, though, it cut off again, and went back to My Sunshine XDDDD Nagayan was getting annoyed here, and kept whining at them to pick a song. It then changed BACK to Mokuyoubi no Asa, and finally back to My Sunshine again, which Nagayan finally got to sing all the way through XD;;;;
After this opening, he talked a little bit, and mentioned he'd wanted to do something like this for a while, adding that he was thinking of maybe doing a karaoke-only event some time in the future. People very much agreed with that idea :DDDDD
Here, the event got going properly, and they started calling up people to come sing. Nagayan would typically dance around in the background in generally very distracting ways, while Tamaoki-san kept us entertained with the tambourine (aww, I'm sorry I give you such shit in fics, Tamaoki-san XD;;;) It was highly amusing, also, when Suzuki-san kept randomly putting up My Sunshine again and setting Nagayan off 8DDDDD
All too soon, though...Tamaoki-san pulled out the next name and said it was the first big group (until then, it'd been 2 people at most), and it was US. ZOMG. ZOMG. OUR TIME HAD COME. We hustled up on stage--still wearing our shirts, btw--and got going to You Got Game XD
During the song, Nagayan was...as distracting as ever. He spent half the time imitating Kime, and the other half of the time...pelting us with imaginary tennis balls. Best thing EVER. At the end of the song, when asked about his weird moves, he smoothly announced that that's how he ALWAYS is at karaoke. And added that he always ends any karaoke experience he has with You Got Game! Hellllooooooo ii data!

Manekineko from the outside! This was after we'd left, and you can't see it, but right inside the entryway there is Nagayan, shaking everyone's hands :D He did the miokuri there (where he shakes your hand, talks to you for a minute, and generally makes you want to melt inside), since we wouldn't have much time later. When it was finally my turn, he took my hand, and I thanked him for yet another fun event, to which he thanked me in turn. He then looked at me kind of funny, like he was trying to remember something, and then it hit him, "*pnish*'s opening night!! That's where I saw you! You were there, right??"
Me: O______O "Umm. YES. YES I WAS. And you were there, too! With Kimeru-san, right??"
Nagayan: "YUP."
Me: *opens big mouth* "AND LOLOLOLOL YOU GOT USED AS JOKE MATERIAL TOO, HUH."
Nagayan: "..........................ah. Yeah. Yeeeeeeeah I did... >____>"
Me: *....wonders if he ever mentioned that to Tamaoki-san, who happened to be standing right beside us then* ".......erm. Right. Thanks again #^____^#"

After karaoke, we had a couple of hours of "free time" which we used to wander around the Asakusa area! Here's me and utaigami!

And of course, since we'd come all that way, we got our fortunes! 大吉 YAAAAY!!!
We randomly happened along this awesome picture spot, and since there were 5 spaces, we couldn't pass it up XD We got a random passerby to help us out by taking the pic :P
After our free time, though, it was TIME TO HIT THE AMUSEMENT PARK!! We had the whole place to ourselves from 6-9 PM, which was AWESOME. It was really eerie, having all these rides empty and for our sole use, but tons of fun! We were actually restricted to 5 rides, but they were the 5 best ones, so...NO LOSS XD

2) Space shot (free-fall)
3) Disk-o (kinda like a gravitron...)
4) Bee tower (in which you got to go up really high and kind of see all of Asakusa)
5) Merry-go-round
As a bonus, there were special NagaJo crepes made just for us *____*

The "Sora Tobu" crepe (this event's theme was "Sora Tobu Asakusa")
And the plain old NagaJo crepe~
I got myself a SORA TOBU CREPE YO! In my hand is a little activity sheet we had to fill out, and as a prize we got Nagayan purikura 8D

...shot FROM the Bee Tower, that's the Disk-o in the middle (with everyone getting off) and the Merry-Go-Round up top. I suppose I should take a moment here to explain that there were...expectations Nagayan had to meet during this part of the event.
Since it was an event for him, of course everyone would want to be around him, so it was agreed that he would ride one ride with each group. However, that one ride was...the Disk-o. Nagayan had to be slung around 8 times in a row XD;;; For the people who couldn't ride the Disk-o, he agreed to ride the merry-go-round instead XD
It was pretty obvious he was getting a little nauseous from riding it so many times, so every couple of gos he'd get off, walk around (followed by a herd of fangirl paparazzi *guilty*) and catch his breath. Ours was the last group to go, and he was obviously thankful for it XD On the plus side, I got to sit one seat away from him, hurrah!

We got to take a lot of pics of Nagayan, and in doing so, I realized that damn, this new haircut of his REALLY makes him look like Tuti! It wasn't until I opened up photoshop that I realized just how little needed to be changed before it WAS Tuti...
Only the eyes and nose are Tuti's *_____* YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT PEOPLE WHO'VE BEEN MARRIED A WHILE.........
As we were all leaving, we had one last "class meeting" in which Nagayan talked about his future plans. There was a huge build-up...and then he announced NAGAJO WAS GOING OVERSEAS!! Where?? KOREA. WTF. I've NEVER been to a foreign country besides Japan, and I KNOW NO KOREAN. I realize this won't be that big a deal but...I'm really intimidated by the thought of being in a country where I don't know the language 8D;;;; *Korean studying ON!*
It'll be expensive, but WORTH IT. We're planning on making new shirts this time so...I'm super excited XD I really hope our group gets to go, cause otherwise I will be SOL :P
