SO! I've had an eventful past few days.

Thursday, I got a beautiful thing in the mail:

Yes, it's the Book of Nagayan Porn. Sold on Y!Japan for 40,000+yen, I got it on AU auctions for 1200 XDDDDD God but that man has the HOTTEST ASS. I could stare at the way his back curves into his ass in some of these photos for ages *___*

Friday at work I went to Shinagawa with two coworkers to discuss a translation we'd done for them--a survey that's going to be used in America that millions of people will answer >_> and I had to (help) translate it. Gaaaaah @__@ But it was really fun, being right there and talking with the scientists who wrote the original, getting their input into exactly what they meant and how best to put it into English, that's what translating is, right? XD

I also got a new *pnish* DM with details on Daiki's play in January. We have a summary now!

Ayakashi Ghost Story - The time is now. For hundreds of years, a battle between humans and demons has been raging, right underneath the noses of normal humans living their lives day to day. "Demon Hunters" exist in this world, endowed with weapons to fight the demons, but then there is one who holds both the powers of a demon as well as the heart of a human, a half-demon, half-human.

Does he side with the demons, or is he an ally of the humans...? In order to finally end this war, and recover a treasure that contains an ancient power...a conflict of feelings!

Seeing as Daiki-chan's billed first in his own show, I'm gonna go out on a limb and make a WILD GUESS that he's this halfling character XD Oh Leader <3333 Advance tickets go on sale November 1st--anyone wanna go?? :DDDDD

Saturday was quite an adventure XD [livejournal.com profile] daiki_dansu (Meg) and I had tickets to the Ii Otoko Matsuri that a few KG members were supposed to be in. After navigating Shinjuku station with some difficulty (I HATE SHINJUKU STATION LIKE I HATE OSAKA. WHICH IS A LOT.) we finally made it to the theater and realized it was literally right across the road from Shinjuku Koma (where BuriMyu was earlier this year) which now had a huge banner hanging on one side reading, "Thank you for 52 years of use - Shinjuku Koma Theater will be closing in December 2008." KOMA ;___; I have so many great memories associated with it from this year, and I can't imagine why it's closing--it seems to get regular use, as there are performances listed for it until the end of the year. I'll be really sad to see such a nice (and BIG!) theater go ;_;

Meg and I were going to this show primarily for Kitty Guys. I remembered looking at the cast list for the event and seeing that Yoh (Tachibana from TeniMyu, as well as Switch) was going to be in it as well, but I had never even heard of any of the other guys except for Plusism, which I had heard of in passing by name only.

So imagine my surprise when, after the event was over, I found out that I either directly knew all of the guys, or they had worked with someone else I knew XDDDDD Let's review the guys who were called for this Man Fest:

>>Katou Manabu (husband - duh)
>>Iwashita Masayuki (KG - duh)
>>Tachibana Takuya (KG - duh)
>>Yoh (TeniMyu's Tachibana)
>>Arai Yuusuke (5th cast Inui XD when asked who in TeniMyu he was closest with, he shyly responded, "Umm...Oishi's actor, Tsujimoto-kun..." XDDDD D'AWWW EVERYONE LOVES TSUJIMOTOOOOOO)
>>Kasuya Keigo (in Tadashii Ouji no Tsukurikata with Nagayan XDDDDD Also, I was bullied into buying his "photobook"--which is actually a CD he burned with a ton of pics of himself on it just to sell at the event--because he was standing there begging people who walked by to purchase it, the little bastard. Anyone want it? 2500yen, and it's autographed XDDDD It actually took me a while to find info on him, because he looks WAAAAAY DIFFERENT in person than he does in pictures online... Younger, actually o_O I was sure that this 粕谷 佳五 I kept finding online, who was born in 79, could NO WAY be the guy I saw Saturday... AND OH YEAH. HE WAS IN REVERSE HISTORICA IN ONE OF THE PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF IT [*pnish* produced the play a couple of times before they actually labeled it a produce play--Daiki, Besshi, and Tecchan had all been doing it IIRC; Kasuya Keigo was Akechi Mitsuhide in February 2007.])
>>Nagai Tomoya (in a movie with Konitan and Tomo that comes out soon, also apparently was in Boys Love the movie version, as well as Ren'ai Shindan and Tonari no 801chan)

I think the ones I was most intrigued by, though, were Plusism, a 4-man theatre unit (sound familiar? XD) made up of Abe Kaoru, Kuroda Kouhei (if you click that link, you'll see Daiki's pic at the top--that's because the two are in the same agency, La Sette, and also why Daiki has performed in Plusism shows a couple of times before as well :D), Morimoto Nobu, and their newest member Mori Youta, who is really REALLY CUTE. And also young (he just turned 22). He totally made Meg and me do a double take when he walked on the stage, because he had hair like Daiki's, clothes like Daiki's, a body built like Daiki's, and...he's in a 4-man theatre unit :P

I'd like to get more into them, but it looks like none of their stuff is ever put out on DVD, so I'd have to go see them in person to get into them, I guess. Yoh is going to be in their next show in November, which apparently still has tickets left for all the shows but the first and last (not quite *pnish*-sized yet, I guess?) so I may try and drop by :D

Meg and I met up with [livejournal.com profile] hughes_maes in Ikebukuro and raided K-books, where I picked up a copy of the TeniPuri Two Samurai movie for uber-cheap and realized I wanted to own a copy of something I didn't know the name of.

Does anyone know the name of--or if it's even available for purchase anywhere--whatever DVD that video came on where it's a music video of the characters and involves Golden Pair meeting up in the rain, with matching rings? Eiji had one of those little ghost doll thingies hanging from a string and I randomly thought of it today and smiled :D Help a girl out?

After that, we went back to my place and watched SNL political skits, then ordered Donna Donna and got halfway through Monster Box, which I hadn't watched in a loooong time and realized I understood a hell of a lot better now. Things like:

1) Daiki's character (Endou Satoru) actually WAS a descendant of Sanada Yukimura's, and the character in the present time of Yukimura was just a coincidence.
2) Zankimaru used to be a human, but like Endou (Daiki), he was jealous of a friend and sold his soul for demonic powers.
3) The reason Yukimura "betrayed" Zankimaru in the past was because he'd realized that Zankimaru was going to die--he was getting weaker from being so close to/friends with Yukimura, and the only way to stop him from wasting away was to seal him until he recovered. He made Zankimaru think he'd betrayed him to incite hatred for humans so that Zankimaru would get better and not die. ;____________;
4) ALL OF THIS PUT TOGETHER MAKES ME THINK ZANKIMARU AND YUKIMURA HAD A THIIIIIING GOING ON. UMM. Let's observe this conversation between Zankimaru and Future!Yukimura-who-is-not-related-to-past!Yukimura:

Zankimaru: You're just like him...
Yukimura: Eh?
Zankimaru: You just remind me of someone I can't stand. From the moment I met them, they just kind of opened their heart up to me, it was weird. But well, that actually turned out to be the beginning of all my problems.
Yukimura: Ah! An old girlfriend!
Zankimaru: NO. Ah it doesn't matter...

slidufhsildufhslidufs WHY. WHYYYYYYY. SOMEONE TELL ME.

Why the HELL does virtually EVERY. SINGLY. *PNISH*. PLAY. Cast Daiki and Eiji with some significant relationship with one another?! Check it:

Panic Cafe - Miyasaka and Toumine, friends and partners, together throughout most of the play, they bicker and fight but realize they need one another by the end.
Panic Age - With Eiji gone, Daiki withdraws and breaks up *pnish*, and his anger and frustration at Eiji for leaving filters down to his own son who tries to hinder Ichiban and Washi-Washi from bringing him back.
Monster Box - Umm, Zankimaru and his gay loverhuman...companion? Sanada Yukimura XD Not only did he seal Zankimaru away because he didn't want him to die (AND bore his hatred so that he could recover), it's Yukimura that Zankimaru thinks of in a dream when he gets a pep-talk from the guy, even though he's supposed to hate him.
Treasure/Wonder Box - Rin and Li have the weirdest relationship--they're semi-rivals, but Rin is Kazakiri Yahiro upon whom Li swore revenge, but they're also kind of friends, and they save and help each other when they can (Rin more so than Li, but that's cause Li is Li XD), it's just...really interesting to me, I like it o_O Also >_> who were the last two on stage in TB, hm? Even Li's brother was all, "Nice to see you've made a friend~"
Secret Box - Taji and Azuma didn't really have much more of a relationship than any of the others did, but they were always off alone together (mostly, I think, because Haru would let Taji walk all over him and Ricchi would encourage Taji and get into trouble with him, though XDDDD) and well, it was fun watching them :D
Reverse Historica - Hideyoshi and Nakajima had a teensy tiny little relationship (well, Nakajima kinda worshiped him XD) and the relationship between Nakajima and Matsuura also spoke of a kind of charicature of the two in real life (a goofier Eiji with big idea, and a focused, Leaderly Daiki who has to reign him in sometimes).

Wasshi tends to be cast as the comic relief, and Tuti as a kind of character who can stand on his own (in Cafe, Age, Monster Box, Treasure/Wonder Box definitely), but Eiji and Daiki always are given some special relationship, more often than not one of friends or rivals linked by some special bond or relationship. Hmmmmm >_>

I love these guys <33333
