Santies Senshuuraku + Uranos

Uranos was first up yesterday, so I'll talk about it first:
If you've ever taught English in Japan and know the stories in the New Horizon textbooks for middle schoolers, then you know the plot of Uranos. Yes, this quite creepy, very dark story is in 9th grade textbooks all over this country _o_
Granted, the version in textbooks is lighter, and more moralistic than Uranos was. Uranos was just plain creepy o__o though it carried the same message.
The show opened with an old man lying on the ground, beaten and bloody. It's night, and he's outside a house that isn't his. One of the people living in the house, a young girl, is woken by his moaning and yelling, and comes to see what's the matter. He frightens her back inside before wandering off.
The next day, a lawyer is at the house. He's been trying to convince the owners of the house--two sisters (the younger one was in the previous scene) and their friend, a retarded boy (Tsumura, who did a REALLY scarily good job in this role o_O)--to sell it. Neither of the girls are all that interested (well, the older sister isn't really interested--the younger one is flat out against it and refuses to let the house they've lived in all their lives be sold).
Not about to be put off, the lawyer enlists the aid of a younger man from his firm (lawyer!Tuti) and they draw up paperwork to lure the girls into selling. The reason they're so intent on getting the land?
There's a hole in the backyard of the house, roped off. It's very very deep, no one knows how deep, and things that go in never seem to come back out. Keen on the idea of a bottomless pit, the lawyers want to use the hole for waste disposal--of the nuclear sort.
Eager to help the girls, their neighbor, a man by the name of Sado, does some experimenting to see exactly what happens to the stuff that goes in, but doesn't come to any conclusions. Meanwhile, the crazy old man from the beginning is still wandering around, trailed by a concerned social worker from the nearby old-folks' home. He constantly marvels at the older of the two sisters, telling her how much she looks just like her grandmother Setsuko, whom he knew when they were younger before she died.
The lawyers continue their efforts to get the girls to sell the house, and finally the elder sister agrees to sell the backyard, and in a very cool sequence the lights go down and blacklights come on, and a bunch of people in white hazmat suits come on and cordon off the stage, lugging large barrels of radioactive material on and tossing it into the hole.
Still not convinced the lawyers are entirely in the right, Sado-san does some digging, and comes across some disturbing things: turns out 50 years ago, a couple of people had fallen into the hole, known as the "Demon's Mouth," and were never seen again: one man, and one woman--the girls' grandmother.
The lawyers come on as he comes across this information, and are there as he puts the pieces together and realizes that the crazy old man isn't crazy--he's just been transported 50 years into the future. Whatever goes into the hole comes out again in the future, which means all that nasty radioactive waste is going to come back in the future as well. The lawyers, though, don't care about the future, this is a great immediate solution, and to keep the operation quiet, Tuti's character shoves Sado-san into the hole, and the two tell everyone he mysteriously "disappeared."
Eventually the others catch on as well, realizing who the old man is and why he thinks the elder sister looks so much like her grandmother--because the last time he saw her she was about that age. The old man breaks down at the realization, and the sister tells her younger sister and Kanada (Tsumura) to leave, move far away from all this tragedy, she'll stay and wait for 50 years to pass to bring back Sado-san.
The play ends when a body bag falls from the rafters with a loud THUMP onto the stage--their grandmother, dead, after falling into the hole 50 years ago.
THE END
slidfuhsidf what the hell was that play. And I seriously almost screamed when the body bag fell >_> I KNEW the story by then, and knew stuff was gonna fall onto the stage, but I so didn't expect a BODY >_>
Bought a pamphlet after the show. BEHOLD THE HOT (I'll scan when I get home):

FUCK that's hot. He's so good looking when he's all serious like that. MMM! Also, a bit of trivia: Uranos was held in Aoyama Engeki, the round theater inside Aoyama Gekijou (where BuriMyu's Bankai show was held last year, and where *pnish* aspirs to hold performances one day). Switch was also held in the round theater in 2006, and it was my first time seeing a performance in a round theater, but really really good o_O
*pnish*'s next performance, the April showdown and Eiji/Daiki vs Tuti/Wasshi, will be held in Aoyama Engeki. *pnish* in the round? Intriguing >)
And now...Santies! After Uranos ended, I high-tailed it from Aoyama to Hanzoumon and Tokyo FM Hall where Santies was held. I had no ticket, so I had to line up to get them at the door. I was super worried I wouldn't be able to get one (I lined up an hour and a half early for D-room and still wasn't in the first 15 people o_O), but wound up being the 2nd person in--my seat? Exactly one in front of the one I had the night before XD E-17 was a very nice seat, right on the aisle. The show wasn't even sold out--guess Tuti and Daiki are more of a draw for *pnish* shows (which are sold out from time to time) than I'd realized o_O
I bought 7 more pair of Santies Panties, but alas, no luck! Though I'm kinda glad XD the "ultimate prize" today was getting to drink the batsu-game drink "like you're lovers" with the guys. The drink was a mixture, might I add, of such lovely things like milk, coke, tomato juice, mustard, wasabi, coffee, and those healthy energy drinks, among other nasty things XD
And just to confuse us even more: Eiji talked some about what the next *pnish* show is going to be like. Supposedly he and Daiki are doing something more like the usual *pnish* play, a little adventure-y, a little comedy, a little action (I'm not sure what the plot of "Reverse Historica" is, but that's the show's name), and Tuti and Wasshi are apparently going to do something more serious, an actual play.
This is really contrary to what Tenchou told me (in that he said Wasshi and Tuti were doing straight comedy), so I've heard wrong somewhere, or someone has their facts mixed up XD. Either way, VERY VERY WANT. They need to formally announce this thing already so I can organize a ticket assault *_____*
Heading back to Hikone as soon as I finish this, not looking forward to that trip >_< Then I have to be up here NEXT weekend for an interview with the company I applied for. It sucks, because I have nothing else to do that weekend, nothing else to be here for, I just have to waste money _o_ Keep telling myself--it's gonna be worth it if it gets me a Tokyo job *___*
There's a Panic Cafe/Age set for sale in K-books at 14,700. I really want it. If it's still there when I come back for Nagayan's DVD event, the bitch is MINE >_> There's an On 2/3 set, too, for 2man, but I don't need that now :D
