Weekend fun!

hughes_maes who is in Tokyo for an Abe-related event. We relieved Tenchou (and Nagayan by proxy) of 4 new Blossam shirts (so: faded_lace and innusiq, your shirts are GOT :D) after waiting for an hour and a half outside of Gain in the baking sun for no reason whatsoever. I dunno what it is, but...no one lines up anymore o_O We got there at 10:30 AM, and there wasn't a single other soul until about an hour later, when one girl came by, swept her eyes over Gain, and kept on trucking. She showed up later after the store had opened, so I guess she didn't feel it important to line up... Kinda makes me sad :/ But then I know if Nagayan would just release something AWESOME like something new or not just another shirt or the 5th Child or something, the line would be around the block at 4 AM :P Priorities, sheesh.
After fleeing Gain, we had an excellent lunch at TGIFridays (where the host wanted my Dragonquest uchiwa I got randomly when I went to see Toy Story 3 a few weeks back...) and then headed up to Ikebukuro because, tsk, duh. It's been a whole week since Comiket! WE NEEDED MORE DOUJINSHI. So we stopped by theK-books doujinshi-kan around the corner from Mandarake (near the manga store) because Paula had never been (and I'd only been once), and daaaaaayum lemme tell you, if you've never been, how fricking AMAZING that place is :P
Mandarake can SUCK IT because the Ikebukuro K-books doujin-kan has a whole row of pretty much nothing but TeniPuri doujinshi, separated by schools and pairing and circles even, plus a decent-sized TeniMyu section as well, and while they do seem slightly more expensive than Mandarake, it's completely worth it IMHO. We spent quite a pretty yenny, but it was definitely a victory on our parts XD I came away with 3 new Satou Mizu doujinshi (all-school gag stuff [with leanings towards pairings I like] with AMAZING art, conveniently packaged in anthology form :D) and a Gakuen Heaven Kazuki/Keita anthology with nice art :D
We killed some time after this in karaoke where we'd hoped to be able to sing the newest TeniMyu songs (into Big Echo were: Destiny, Graduation, Banzai, and Saishuu Kessen)...until I realized they weren't supposed to be available until the 24th, and not the 20th like I'd thought D: We decided to TRY anyways, since previous songs had been available before their official entry date, and LO AND BEHOLD they were ALL available to sing!! SO WE DID! And sang a ton more TeniPuri and TeniMyu songs because they are awesome, always :D
After 2 hours (for ~600 yen each total o_O) we ran over to the Sunshine Cinema for our final fun experience of the evening: seeing Inception! ( And I'mma cut the rest to avoid spoiling people~ )
