Stephen King's "The Mist"
8 June 2008 11:47 pmRewatched The Mist for the first time in a while--if you've never seen it, I recommend it; I love Stephen King's stuff :)
This movie was one of the first to be filmed in my hometown, Shreveport, Louisiana, when it became kind of the new "Hollywood of the South" after Katrina hit New Orleans, so we've got a booming movie industry, and you'd be surprised probably which movies have been made there (check that link to see XD)
My dad's been an extra in many of those movies, but I've only been able to see him in a few of them--and The Mist was one :)

That's pretty much the most face time he gets in the movie XD However, one fun thing I did notice--the movie is supposed to take place in a town in Maine, but was of course filmed mostly in Shreveport, Louisiana. Shreveport is located in Caddo Parish (Louisiana has parishes instead of counties like the rest of the country, cause we're special that way ♥). Check out this fire engine from the movie XDDDDD
Yes, I know it says "Parise" and not "Parish"--perhaps they wanted it to sound more like the name of the county in Maine was "Caddo Parise County"? XD
Also: my Dad's IMDB page. The profile pic on the let is the same one I got him to sign and gave to Tenchou as an autograph since he wanted it XD;;;; The little girl in the first pic with him is my little sister, and it was taken in our house. The last is of him and Frank Darabont, the director of The Mist, as well as The Shawshank Redemption, The Majestic, and The Green Mile. He's a really outgoing guy who gets friendly with everyone and could sell refrigerators to eskimos.
