I'm curious--why do you think they deserved to win? I mean, I've seen plenty of matches where one team/player deserved to win, and sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. If they have the skills to back up their desire, they usually win, and if not, then they lose, to build themselves up and try again.
But we saw here that Shishido/Ohtori pair just didn't have the skills Golden Pair had, so what made them 'deserve' to win more? In my opinion, Golden Pair 'deserved' to win, if anyone deserved this win--we saw their mutual hard work quite throughly in recent chapters, knew how long they'd been working towards this, and they were, quite frankly, the obvious better players in this instance. The match could have gone either way, and in the end it was Eiji 'stopping' the match that led to ToriShishi's win, not their own skills.
We haven't seen any background of ToriShishi working hard for this particular win lately, have we? I'll admit, I don't usually read the manga, so there might have been something I missed, but just by reading the last ten chapters or so, you can see numerous instances of Oishi and Eiji working hard, polishing their skills for this match--in the past, this with any character has been prelude to a hard match with a hard-fought win in the end.
I definitely agree though--no one should be SHOWN to win against Atobe, at least (I don't want to see it :P).
