Productive day is productive!

...Well, kinda! I finished up some work for an upcoming deadline early, got a co-worker to take a project off my hands, and successfully met up with faded_lace to find a costume-ish thing for a Halloween get-together~ :D

It's not really the smartest idea to go out to a place like Tokyu Hands and try to get inspired for a costume there; it's one of those things where you need to have at least a general idea and THEN find just what you need to bring that idea to life. Unfortunately, Miranda and I suck that way, so we just wound up going with Black vs. White Angel XD; Here are my goods:



If you can't tell from the crappy cell pic, and let's face it--you can't, it's one pair of small black wings, a headband with a lacy-flower-thing clipped to it, and a heart-shaped gaudy ring, because I'm the emo angel I guess. Miranda's got white stuff, so we'll look quite the pair~

I also found the cutest pink-and-yellow friendship bracelets during our assault on claire's, so Miranda and I split them, since apparently we are 13-year-old girls, idk.

In other news, it's THREE DAYS LEFT til Western Mode! I'm super psyched~ :D I'm trying to prep myself to avoid unfortunate misunderstandings by looking up common Western-themed Japanese words :D Behold!

Cowboy: 牧童 【ぼくどう】 (aside from the obvious 'カウボーイ' XD)
Lasso: 投げ縄 【なげなわ】
Saloon: サルーン? XD; I've also heard 酒場...
Sheriff: シェリフ or 保安官
Ranch: 牧場 【ぼくじょう(P); まきば(P)】
Pistol: ピストル? Maybe? XD or of course 銃 【じゅう】
Bandit/Thug: ごろつき (it was used in the official summary soooo...)

Any other suggestions? XD Nnngh, I don't wanna go to work tomorrow...

Juu is just a general word for 'gun', though, and I expect to hear lots of period-specific words in this show :) However, given that it's being billed as a 'ガンアクション' show, it's possible THAT will be used instead XD;

And I'm going to senshuuraku--just Nagoya's (大楽) and not Tokyo's. I'm going 6 times XD Though I doubt I'll have anything coherent to post until after Nagoya.

Hah, 'gun action'. Actually, I wouldn't be too surprised if one of them uses some form of full English sentence somewhere. This is, after all, Western Mode. ...Don't they have one of their actors from...the Western countries? Or a mixed? Or something? o.o Or maybe mine eyes were playing tricks on me when I was reading the official site...

Oh~ I thought you were going to Tokyo's senshuuraku. :O The final final one. I'd love to go for the final final one, though.

Umm, no Westerners this time afaik ^^; Just pure unadulterated awesome~

And nope, not hitting Tokyo's senshuuraku this time, just cause I'm going enough times as-is. And six times is nothing XD I went to On7 and MahaMo 10 times each (missed only 1 show for each time), and wished I could've gone to more 8D You get into a play-going groove, it's awesome~

GOODNESS. I wish I watched On6 live. D: I love their opening dance, and their little skits which paralleled each other. Too bad Daiki-chan and Eiji weren't together in a skit. But, Tuti and Eiji together = hilariousness. :D

...expensive 8D;; base price is usually 5500 yen, but if I buy them on auction, I can pay more depending on how good the location is. This time, though, I managed to get them all legitimately, so I've only paid the base price. It's a good thing this only comes around once or so a year XD;

Yeah, I'd imagine those on auction would be more expensive! Otherwise, it wouldn't be an auction. xD But...damn 5500 yen isn't the least bit cheap. Luckily like you said, a once-a-year thing. And it's *pnish*, so it's worth it.

While on the subject on ticket prices, just curious about those which you can buy right on the day itself, I presume it's going to be more expensive? :O Well, provided it isn't full house? They do have certain shows with full house, don't they?

Well you can get lucky on auction also; sometimes if you time it right and there's little enough demand, you can pay less than the original price. You kind of HAVE to go multiple times anyways, to get the full effect :D But I'd rather go to Nagoya senshuuraku, since it's the FINAL final one, than Tokyo's :) So I chose that one over Tokyo this time.

And it varies by show, but generally toujitsuken are the same price as a normal ticket. It's kind of a crapshoot where you sit, though. I've gotten extremely lucky (2nd row) and extremely unlucky (3rd floor) before ^^ Generally the final show and shows on weekends will sell out well before shows on weekdays, mostly because weekday shows will be limited only to those who can make it to Tokyo in time to see it (so a smaller pool). Since I'm lucky enough to live in Tokyo, I can go see those weekday shows :D

Man, living in Tokyo must be really hard. It's expensive. ._. Which is why I'm trying hard to ignore the fact that I want to go to Japan to further my studies...I should just settle for local universities and then go to Japan for masters...yesyes. ._.
