man oh man oh

I don't think I've heard anything hotter in a loooong long time

than the way Takano says

In related news, I'm 16 pages into scanlating more of volume 5? XD I figured the poor people left on a cliffhanger after vol. 4 might appreciate it? y/y?

Yes! Yes! I am obsessed with this manga. The storyline between Ritsu and Takano is my favorite. :D I like this series much better than Junjo Romantica.

Oh gosh yes *_____* I really like Yukina and Kisa too (and I don't dislike Hatori and Chiaki, but they're not as engaging), but but but most definitely love Takano and Ritsu best! So much drama, so much angst, so much just-under-the-surface love :33333

I really liked JR, but definitely am more involved with SH!

Oh, BTW, I looked it up and Sekaiichi does seem to run in Ciel. I'll possibly have to dig more to see what chapter is in which volumes, though, before buying them.

Awesome :3 btw did you get your TeniMyu tickets yet? Mine for the 16th are....2nd row, but pretty off to the side :/ My seats on the 29th with Nikki aren't even in the arena for some reason o_O 7th row of the first balcony! wtf? I think my TSC seats are getting exponentially worse with each show XD;

Date: 2011-06-09 04:40 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] amyused.livejournal.com
Yeah I did and it seems like our seats are sorta switched for each performance, then. XD; On the 16th, Rachel and I are in the first balcony and on the 29th my sister and I are 12th row arena. CONGRATS ON GETTING 2ND ROW! 8DDDD That's still awesome and heck, if you 're toward the side, you might get more action from Jumpin Up High Touch.

I do agree, though. Sorta perturbed at how the supporter's tickets ended up this time.

From: [identity profile] fencer-x.livejournal.com
Yeah o_O At first I was like "ooh dude, ok 7th row is kinda far back for TSC tickets, but it's in the 30s so that's really central! Nice!" and then I saw the 第一バルコニー beside it >_>

Still though, I can't complain too much XD I'll get a gooooood look at these boys :3 And for the rest...well that's what binoculars are for! Then I'll know exactly where to look XD

Date: 2011-06-09 04:47 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] amyused.livejournal.com
Yeah, I think Rachel and I are 6th row, first balcony and I did the same thing. "Oo, well 6th row isn't bad... hey wait, this isn't in the arena! D:" We're like seats 89 and 90, though. Way off to the side, I'm assuming. XD;;;;;

And yeah, complaining about getting guaranteed seating for a play I really want to see is looking a gift horse in the mouth, so really, I'm happy to see it and get tickets with little hassle.

Oh, also I ordered some back issues of Ciel Tres Tres, but no matter where I looked, I couldn't find out which chapters of Sekaiichi were in the volumes. I'm going to have to guess and test when they arrive and see if I need to order more.

Date: 2011-06-09 04:54 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] fencer-x.livejournal.com
Indeed :D And we're still getting quite nice seating, relatively speaking (really, I'll put up with sitting ANYWHERE after getting that awesome experience of FRONT ROW CENTER XD no matter how nosebleed) so...no mouth-checking of gift horses here!

And awesome about the back issues!! Let me know how it goes :D I found some random low-qual scans that hadn't made it into a tankoubon for "Takano Masamune no Baai" which was really sweet and I'd love to find some HQ versions to scanlate!

Also, I was going through Nakamura withdrawl so I ordered the entire JR series manga XD I think I won't be productive tonight...

Yeah. XD We were spoiled big time, but at least we still have fun with the show!

The Kadokawa and Ciel sites were really unhelpful with their magazine info. I honestly have no idea what I'll be getting. But, judging by the dates of the last manga volume (released in April) and the magazines I'm getting (late February through the most recent one), I think I should be getting the correct volumes? And hopefully Takano-san's will be in there, too. :D

Oo, the JR manga is way better than the anime, in my opinion. It gives the characters more characterization, especially Terrorist and Egoist. Misaki is still a little too reluctant for my tastes, just because I feel like he should through throw (guh typo) Usagi-san a bone more often, but he's starting to get better about that within the most recent mangas, too! <3 And even though that was a complaint about the Romantica pair, I still love all the pairings regardless. XD

I'm definitely excited :3 I've been reading through the scanlations up on mangafox, but they're really almost unreadable just because they look like they were backtranslated or something (especially the early stuff). But I don't believe the most recent volume that just came out has been scanlated yet anyways, so I'm looking forward to having something new! I'll probably post flaily thoughts this evening XD

Oh hey, that reminds me, how is the scanlation for the 5th volume of Sekaiichi going?

Mmm, I just posted ~30 pages in the post after this? And [livejournal.com profile] rizuka posted it to the comm for me :) (amounts to about half of the Yukina/Kisa chapter). I should have pretty much all of that chapter done by next week sometime :D

It's low-qual scans though, so I'm mostly focusing on making it look as nice as possible with what I have. Editing is such a pain XD

Herp derp, sorry. I was writing up stuff in email only and didn't check my friends' page. XD;

Did you do the scanning or use someone else's scans? Ah, and when I make scans of the magazine issues, would you rather I shrank them a little first before sending them, or shall I just send them as is? They ought to be fairly large, since the magazines are bigger than usual mangas, too.

XD no problem~ Enjoy :DDDD

And eee *excited thinking about getting back into scanlating* It's just some low-qual scans I nabbed on the MangaFox forums--150dpi but only ~1000x600 pixels. Ideally I'd like twice that size and DPI and then be able to shrink them down to a more manageable size after editing and all :)

It's probably best to clean them up first and then shrink them, so if you don't mind sending them as big as you can (300 dpi, usually I scanned stuff from Asuka back in the day and it came out something like 3000 x 2000 pixels or similar). Then again, if you're totally cool with cleaning and all that nasty photoshop work, that's fine too XD; I'm definitely not as good as some of the scanlators' cleaners and editors, but I do my best :D

I actually don't have photoshop, or really any other picture editing software besides iphoto (which is only good for cropping and resizing, really). Not even MSPaint, because I am a Mac user. XD; Soooo, I'll probably just be sending you the whole files, though I suppose I could post the raws separately? Or shall we just have them only available by looking at the scanlations? I can see merits to the idea either way, though I don't think I'd want to post the raws without the translations in there or other people might start scanlating it first. ^^b

Ah, and I'm part of the Sekaiichi comm, so I could post them there for you, if you ever want.

And finally, I'm sorry I can't be of use in the editing parts of scanlations. XD; I actually scanlate with another group, but I do the translations and leave the technical stuff to other people.

From: [identity profile] fencer-x.livejournal.com
Some people might prefer the raws for their own studying, so it might help to post them? :) They'd be yours anyways, so up to you! [livejournal.com profile] rizuka has been posting the little bits that I've done so far, but you can definitely post these things away and start building up a name or something, idk :D

I used to be with a scanlation group, too (we were doing the KKM manga I believe...) and all I did was the translating there, too, I think XD that's the easy stuff! *longs for those days*

Ah well, 頑張りまーす! *fist*

Might be fun to be a mini-scanlation team, if you're up for it. I'd love to help out more, if you'd like the help, though again, the only stuff I can do is stuff you can already do. xD; But scans I can provide and translations, too, if you'd like to split up the work.

I never actually read the KKM manga! Was it good? :D I got a little further than half-way in the first season of the anime, but didn't have the money to keep buying the DVDs (this was before I started downloading stuff much) and never really picked it up again. In the scanlating field, I'm part of a Silver Pair doujin scanlation team and working on starting up a Shitenhouji doujin scanlation team, though that one hasn't gone much of anywhere yet.

I'd totally be up for scanlating some chapters every month or so ^____^ I like to feel like I'm contributing to a fandom in some necessary way, and since there isn't much more I can do to for TeniPuri/TeniMyu fandom, I suppose SH is where it's at :D
From: [identity profile] amyused.livejournal.com
Well, since a chapter comes out each month, we would be set to do such a thing for the SH manga! ^^

So would you like help with the translations, or would you rather do them by yourself? Don't want to infringe if you want to do it on your own, but if you would like to split it up, we could.

You totally need one XD

Date: 2011-06-09 06:08 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] fencer-x.livejournal.com
XD maybe see how long a single chapter is? If it's more than 15 or 20 pages, it'd be faster to split it up probably :D But if it's only like, 10 pages, no big deal XD

If you get multiple issues at once, though, we can also trade off chapters, like I take one issue's scans while you get the next one ready?
From: [identity profile] amyused.livejournal.com
I should be getting something like 4 or 5 magazines in the mail sometime soon, though after that, it should just be one a month. So maybe until we're caught up, we might want to switch off?

I'll let you know how long each chapter is, though! If they're the same as the chapters in the manga, they seem to be closer to 20 pages at a time. But we'll see!
